The Pre-Press Technician - Level I is responsible for safe, quality and efficient mounting operation at Accredo Packaging. This role will be a night shift and will based from our plant located in Sugar Land, TX. Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to: Complies with established safety policies and procedures and other regulations as applicable. Reads and updates production schedule to confirm plate availability and status. Interprets job information (i.e. spec sheet, graphic approval sheet, layout, color target). Locates and retrieves sleeves operating sleeve storage robot. Cleans sleeves. Visually inspects and measures the TIR of each sleeve. Quarantines out-of-spec sleeves. Measures sticky back thickness. Quarantines out-of-spec sticky back. Locates and retrieves plates from plate storage. Mounts plate on sleeves by operating plate mounter. Maintains quality check sheet and mounting log and records downtime when remounting. Stages mounted sleeves. Strips plates from sleeve by operating plate demounter and cleans plates manually or by operating the plate cleaner. Inspects plate and identifies plate mileage. Destroys plates in poor condition or with excessive mileage. Cleans and ensures the department is maintained in an orderly fashion. Performs other related duties as assigned. The ideal candidate shall possess the following: High School Diploma or GED required. Basic computer skills required. Experience with Microsoft suite products (i.e. Word, Excel) required. Basic math skills, required. Must pass the New Hire Base Assessment Test, which measures basic arithmetic and mechanical aptitude. Able to operate basic tools and measuring devices (i.e. tape measure). Ability to read, write and speak in the English language to the extent necessary to effectively communicate and interpret instructions. Operating experience in a manufacturing environment required. Salary range: $75K - $95K (Commensurate with experience). The Maintenance Supervisor (Night Shift) reports to the Maintenance Manager. The responsibilities include taking care of timecards, disciplinary actions, reviews, execution of the supervisor's orders, maintain low work order response time, maintaining shift schedules of subordinates, PMs, learning new machine functions and maintaining it, contacting venders, and any other assigned job duties. Key Duties & Responsibilities: • To supervise and direct employees in execution of work orders in a timely manner. • Maintain all floor paperwork to be submitted to appropriate locations (work orders, daily cleaning forms, Root Cause Analysis, etc.) • Talk to venders or parts department to source the right parts and follow-up that they arrive in a timely manner. • To execute all orders given by Manager • Maintain shift schedules via direction from the Maintenance Manager • Key Focus on being proactive instead of reactive • Complete all admin paperwork such as reviews, disciplinary actions, leave, timecards, and more (I.e. Physical Demands: Be able to lift items up to 50 lbs. Be able to climb up and down stairs throughout the shift. The minimum starting salary for this position is $160,000.
