the new CEO of Ace hardware (north of Atlanta) seems very professional and wants to make the franchise better

not much need for improvement in the culture. overall fun to work. not always fun with the same managers

sent an application online and went in for an interview twice and was hired

they hire people who apply but mostly only white people apply

starting up power equipment and being able to help people and making them smile

Generally a fun and ever changing place to work.

Management could not spell communication let alone effectively do it. Too much micro managing and not enough local thought given to situations.

As GM, responsibilities were very demanding and had little to no help from others. Always on call, worked on vacations and planned life around the job. Terrible work life/balance and no benefits of any kind.

I enjoyed helping customers find the right equipment tools or resources they needed to accomplish whatever they're project goals for their at home or work related needs anywhere from plumbing to do it yourself projects or painting or garden need

Customers

Worked for a chain of about ten stores over a couple of states. The CEO is part owner or something. Has entire family on payroll and then micro manages and lies to everyone else. Does not care about anyone but family members.

I did not like the management as it was sometimes very sloppy.
