As GM, responsibilities were very demanding and had little to no help from others. Always on call, worked on vacations and planned life around the job. Terrible work life/balance and no benefits of any kind.

I enjoyed helping customers find the right equipment tools or resources they needed to accomplish whatever they're project goals for their at home or work related needs anywhere from plumbing to do it yourself projects or painting or garden need

Worked for a chain of about ten stores over a couple of states. The CEO is part owner or something. Has entire family on payroll and then micro manages and lies to everyone else. Does not care about anyone but family members.
