Management could not spell communication let alone effectively do it. Too much micro managing and not enough local thought given to situations.

Very good. We are a very inclusive company and but shoes in how each person is fairly treated.

The coworkers and customers. I truly enjoy coming in each day to see what I can help a customer with. This includes myself and the help of my coworkers.

Flexible for the most part, not too demanding for non management employees. Every day is different and nothing is overly complex.

Cons of working at Ace Hardware

As GM, responsibilities were very demanding and had little to no help from others. Always on call, worked on vacations and planned life around the job. Terrible work life/balance and no benefits of any kind.

Worked for a chain of about ten stores over a couple of states. The CEO is part owner or something. Has entire family on payroll and then micro manages and lies to everyone else. Does not care about anyone but family members.
