ACES Speech & Language Services department is hiring! We work to support our school districts by filling both short-term and long-term SLP vacancies. SLPs would be assigned to cover these vacancies in Connecticut's south central region. This part-time position offers variable hours per week based on district needs and could range from a few hours a week to up to 29.5 hours/week. We are looking for adaptable, and enthusiastic Speech-LanguagePathologists to join our team. Key Responsibilities:
* Provide comprehensive speech and language evaluations and therapy services to students in various school settings.
* Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educators, parents, and other professionals.
* Deliver engaging and effective therapy sessions tailored to meet the diverse needs of students.
* Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to integrate speech and language goals into the classroom environment.
* Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services provided, progress reports, and IEP updates.
* Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of educational strategies and interventions.
* Travel to multiple school districts within the region to provide support where needed, showcasing your adaptability and versatility. Some assignments may include ACES internal programs.
* This position provides coverage during the 10-month school year for a designated period of time determined by the district and ACES.

On physician's referral, evaluates patients, develops specific treatment plans and goals, administers procedures and modalities specific to the learning needs and age of the patient, and plans for discharge utilizing appropriate Speech-Language Pathology techniques.
Acts as a case manager for assigned patients.
Prepares and maintains accurate and current patient records in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
Re-evaluates and revises patient's treatment plan on a regular basis, with approval of physician as necessary.
Provides patient, family/caregivers with age appropriate instruction regarding therapy procedures and home program, and provides additional instruction as indicated.
Instructs the patient and family/caregiver in care and use of assistive and adaptive equipment.
Communicates with rehabilitation team members, family, physicians and third party payers regarding patient progress and program changes as appropriate.
Attends and/or participates inter/intradepartmental in-services and meetings as required and appropriate.
Participates in short and long-term program development, including participation on committees as requested.
Participates in student intern and/or volunteer program as appropriate.
Provides supervision to CFY as appropriate.
Maintains clean, safe and orderly treatment areas and equipment. Reports to supervisor any problems or suggestions regarding safety in the workplace.
Assists with orientation and supervision of other health care professionals as appropriate.
Establishes and maintains effective communication with physicians, co-workers, patients and other hospital personnel.
Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, in-service meetings, and workshops within assigned specialty areas.

Education:

Position Overview
We are seeking a licensed Speech-LanguagePathologist (SLP) for a travel assignment at a smaller hospital providing a mix of inpatient acute rehab, adult rehab unit (ARU), and outpatient pediatric coverage. This role focuses on assessment, treatment, and evaluation of patients with cognitive, speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders across the lifespan.
Schedule & Unit Details
Day shift, Thursday-Monday or Sunday-Thursday
Patient ratios: 1:5
Mix of IP/ARU and OP with occasional weekend coverage
42-bed facility
Interdisciplinary support available
Requirements
Active SLP license (CCC-SLP preferred)
BLS certification
Minimum 2 years of recent relevant experience
Experience with both pediatric outpatient and adult inpatient rehab patients
Clinical Skills & Experience
Bedside swallow evaluations and dysphagia management
Cognitive and language disorder interventions
Voice, fluency, and communication therapy
Use of adaptive equipment (communication boards, memory aids)
Experience with Medicare/Medicaid billing and documentation
Patient/family education and safety monitoring

Job Description
The
Speech and LanguagePathologist
position is responsible for the direct implementation and collaboration of the assigned patients and will work closely with the behavior analyst to ensure that each patient in the agency receives quality therapeutic care.
This role is a
Full-Time
position supporting clients on-site at our
Broken Arrow, OK
clinic.
Compensation:
$75,000 annual salary + uncapped biweekly bonus potential.
This role primarily entails:
Conduct assessments/evaluations
Develop treatment plans
Provide individual and group services
Co-treat with other team members
Consult with caregivers.
Flexible Options:
We also offer
part-time and hourly positions
for qualified candidates seeking flexible scheduling.
Qualifications
Master's Degree in Speech Pathology or Communication Disorders
Current Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA preferred
Unencumbered license to practice as issued by the Oklahoma state board
Preferably at least three years of experience working directly with children diagnosed with Autism.
