Role description:
Arcadis is seeking a full-time Construction QA Engineer full-time onsite to join our team in Frederick County, Maryland, to work on a large Data Center construction project. The role will be responsible for implementing QAQC processes, conducting thorough equipment and installation inspections, and ensuring compliance with client specifications and industry standards.
Role accountabilities:
* Conduct thorough inspections and maintain documentation
* Review project basis of design and specifications, compile comments, and participate in project readiness meetings
* Attend quality control meetings with the Client, GC, and other trade contractors
* Review and ensure compliance with the GC's QC Plan, Testing and Inspection Plan, and Equipment Protection Plan
* Verify equipment installation and ensure compliance with contract documents
* Review RFIs and Submittal to ensure compliance with the latest revisions
* Perform weekly reviews of the GC's schedule compliance
* Provide weekly reports to the client's Project Engineer
* Ensure all observations are closed out and provide a final quality control report
Qualifications & experience:
* Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) or equivalent experience
* 5+ years of experience in quality assurance, construction management, or related field, preferably in data center or critical infrastructure projects, but not required
* Good understanding of construction processes, mechanical and electrical systems, and quality control methodologies. Knowledge of industry standards and best practices related to construction quality control
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders
* Strong communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with a range of stakeholders, from internal members to client representatives
