Your role as a Civil Engineering intern
As a Seasonal Civil Engineering Intern at Ackerman Estvold, you'll engage in a variety of stimulating tasks that contribute significantly to our transportation, municipal infrastructure and land development projects. Your responsibilities will include measuring and calculating construction quantities to assist in grading projects and ensuring that our water distribution systems and sanitary sewer systems are built to the highest quality standards. You'll read and interpret plans and specifications, performing project inspections to ensure compliance with these documents. In addition, your skills in preparing accurate records, reports, and project files will be put to good use, as you may also have the opportunity to aid in design, plan preparation, and quantity estimating for exciting projects like roadway improvements and storm sewer systems. Who You Are
You have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and an active CPA license or JD/LLM (taxation).
You have 4-8 years of experience in tax planning and estate planning in public accounting, law firms, or a related field.
You are an excellent communicator -- your verbal and written communication skills are outstanding. The Wealth Transition Services Senior Manager will interact with clients with high net worth and ultra-high net worth and will speak to groups on wealth transition topics.
You are able to lead and coordinate large estate/gift/GST tax planning engagements across the firm.
You are a multi-tasking master and there is never a deadline you can't meet.
You have experience developing business and networking.

Job Description
We are currently seeking an experienced Water Resources Engineer to join our team:
Write, develop, organize, and review project studies, reports, and design documents for water resources projects.
Provide field services and construction oversight for water resources projects such as dams, levees, streams, and lakes.
Be a mentor and develop younger engineers to become effective water resource modelers, designers, planners, and project managers.
Engage in public speaking regarding civil engineer water resources projects.
Likely Water Resource projects this role will be involved in are: hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, storm water planning, stream restoration, design of flood reduction and water quality improvements, and watershed-scale plans and studies.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Agricultural and Biological Systems Engineering, Bioproducts and Biosystem Engineering, or related Engineering field.
8+ years of experience in water resources engineering, preferably in the Midwest.
ND Professional Engineer's License or the ability to obtain one within 6 months.
Interest in leading others and pursuing continual growth as a leader.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel periodically.
Must be authorized to work in the United States permanently without the requirement of sponsorship at any point in the future. Sponsorship is not available for this position.
