    Posted Thursday, November 20, 2025 at 5:00 AM The Manager - HRIS of Acme Smoked Fish Corp. leads the design, configuration, and optimization of the company's Human Resources Information System (HRIS) to enhance People Team and manager efficiency, drive self-service adoption, and enable high-quality analytics for decision‑making. The manager is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and effectiveness of HR data, systems, and processes across the employee lifecycle. This leader partners closely with cross‑functional stakeholders (HR, Finance, Payroll, IT, and business leaders) to gather requirements, implement system enhancements, and provide ongoing support and training. The Manager also provides day‑to‑day leadership and development for the HRIS Coordinator to ensure timely, accurate execution of HRIS operations and data management. Acme's Relocation Package is available for this role. What You Will Do At Acme: Serve as the system owner and primary administrator for Ceridian Dayforce and other HR technology platforms. Establish and maintain HRIS governance standards, including configuration principles, change controls, and documentation. Partner with IT and external vendors to ensure system stability, security, integrations, and overall performance. Own the HRIS roadmap, prioritizing enhancements that improve data quality, user experience, and People Team efficiency. Maintain data integrity across organizational structures, position management, and employee records. Conduct regular audits and quality checks; define data standards and controls in partnership with the People Team. Prepare accurate monthly HR reports (headcount, attrition, labor costs) and ensure consistency across stakeholders. Collaborate with People Partners and leadership to design and deliver custom dashboards and analytics that support workforce, compensation, and talent‑related decisions. Identify data trends and process improvement opportunities; translate insights into actionable recommendations. Map and optimize HR workflows in Dayforce to increase automation, reduce manual work, and enhance efficiency. Review Dayforce bi‑annual updates; assess impacts, test new features, and recommend best‑practice solutions. Lead configuration updates, testing, and quality assurance for new functionality, integrations, and process changes. Partner with stakeholders to ensure the HRIS supports organizational changes, expansions, and new initiatives. Develop and deliver training materials, user guides, and knowledge resources for People Team, managers, and employees. Provide advanced support for complex HRIS issues. Drive adoption of self‑service capabilities and promote a consistent, user‑friendly experience across the organization. Develop and maintain HRIS procedures, standard work instructions, and user documentation. Manage user access and ensure data security within the HRIS. Ensure HRIS practices align with regulatory requirements (wage & hour, data privacy, record retention) and internal policies. Stay current with HR technology trends and regulatory changes; recommend updates to maintain compliance and best‑practice alignment. Perform other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities: Lead the HRIS team, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and data quality. Responsible for the recruitment, hiring, and development of HRIS talent. Provide constructive and timely performance feedback to direct reports. Set clear performance expectations, establish goals, and provide regular feedback to drive individual and team success. Handle discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy. Act as a champion of the company's core values and lead by example. Your Education & Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Business or related field required. Minimum 6 years' experience of HRIS administration, implementation, and compliance required, with increasing levels of responsibility. Hands‑on experience as a primary administrator or owner of Dayforce or a comparable enterprise HRIS, including workflows, security, reporting, and integrations. 3+ years' experience leading or mentoring HRIS/HR operations staff preferred. SHRM-CP or PHR preferred. Your Skills & Abilities: Deep knowledge of HR systems and processes, with demonstrated expertise in HRIS administration and configuration. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to interpret HR data and translate insights into actionable business recommendations. Proven ability to design and optimize HRIS workflows to improve efficiency, accuracy, and user experience. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with stakeholders at all levels, including executives, HR partners, Finance, and IT. Strong project management skills, with experience leading cross‑functional initiatives and managing multiple priorities simultaneously. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR reporting tools. Working knowledge of dashboarding or BI tools. Completion of assigned and required training programs, including standards of work. POSITION SUMMARY: Ensure the quality of product is met in an efficient safe manner and providing support to the Quality Assurance Manager DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES: Ensure all products meet the customer and product requirements; Keep all work areas and equipment within SQF Standards and clean always; Ensure all practice equipment is properly worn always; Ensure all equipment is set up, calibrates, and functioning properly throughout shift; Keep all equipment that is used clean, in your area always and prepared for the next run; Perform Microbiological testing; Perform several checks to balance batches such as: Brix, Salt, PH, Acid, and alcohol; Use the following ingredient samples from bulk containers and perform testing on them; Recommend adjustments be made to batches by adding or subtracting; Monitor the Filler Machine and lines by checking the weights, codes, labeling, pasteurizer temperatures; Verify codes very closely - ink can run dry and codes can be set wrong; Perform visual checks and records results, weigh product on calibrated scales, obtain and bring the samples to the QC bench for testing, perform tests and record results; Place batches or finished products on hold as required; All other assigned duties required during your work period; Oversee all technicians and quality concerns; Investigate matters including supplier related or customer driven; Fill in for technicians during absences; Ensure coverage of departmental personnel with production lines; Mock recalls per customer requirements; Cross check analysis for QA technicians; Actively organize and review process for continuous improvement; Verify all holds are entered into Oracle; Verify that all work orders pertaining to any Quality Holds have been completed and distributed to the appropriate personnel; Create any necessary work orders based on the results of additional quality testing; Removing and/or adjusting any Holds; Responsible for participating in Koshers and regulatory audits; Notify Suppliers and Vendors of any holds or FYI's created due to their defective materials and ensuring that any defective materials are removed in a timely manner; Investigate any Customer Complaints and complete paperwork to document the findings Coach, mentor and develop staff, including preparing and conducting employee performance appraisal; Maintain employee work schedules including timecard approval, work assignments, job rotation, training, vacations and paid time off; Report food safety & quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action. The Supervisor leads the sanitation team, coordinates daily and deep-clean schedules, and partners closely with FSQA and Manufacturing to maintain a safe, clean, and audit-ready facility. This role is critical to supporting product quality, preventing contamination, and fostering a strong food safety culture across the organization. What You Will Do At Acme: Sanitation Leadership & Coordination Oversee and execute sanitation operations: Plan, assign, and manage daily, weekly, and special sanitation activities-including deep cleans, seasonal shutdowns, and urgent tasks-ensuring all production and facility areas meet regulatory and internal standards, while maintaining the master sanitation schedule and verifying completion. Ensure safe, compliant, and efficient practices: Collaborate with Manufacturing, FSQA, and external partners (e.g., Pest Control) to optimize cleaning efficiency, minimize downtime, and ensure proper handling, storage, and usage of cleaning chemicals in compliance with SDS and regulatory requirements. Team Management & Training Lead and develop the sanitation team: Conduct daily shift huddles, coach and train associates, monitor performance, manage attendance and corrective actions, and ensure completion of all required training, reinforcing adherence to SOPs, safety protocols, and sanitation standards. Promote safety, compliance, and operational excellence: Ensure proper use of PPE, foster a strong team environment with accountability and high safety awareness, and review, create, or update Standard Operating Procedures and training materials to maintain consistent, compliant performance. Food Safety & Environmental Monitoring Support food safety and environmental monitoring: Partner with FSQA on swabbing, trend tracking, and escalations, and implement enhanced sanitation responses for Zone 1 and Zone 2 positives. Drive corrective actions and process validation: Conduct root-cause analysis for sanitation-related deviations, implement corrective and preventive actions, and support verification and validation of sanitation chemicals and techniques. Pest Control Support & Facility Hygiene Support and enforce pest prevention: Maintain strong sanitation practices, perform routine inspections, promptly address sanitation deficiencies, and ensure exterior housekeeping and waste areas deter pests, minimizing attractants and access points. Collaborate on pest management and corrective actions: Partner with FSQA, Pest Control, Maintenance, and Manufacturing to monitor pest activity, report sightings, maintain pest control devices, and participate in root cause investigations and preventive measures to mitigate risk. Compliance, Verification, & Documentation Conduct and verify sanitation operations: Perform pre- and post-operational inspections, monitor completion of sanitation logs and chemical checks, and utilize in-person and video-based audits to ensure adherence to SOPs, GMPs, allergen control, and environmental hygiene, keeping the facility audit-ready at all times. Drive continuous improvement and compliance: Document audit findings, issue and follow up on corrective actions, and communicate results and improvement opportunities to management to support ongoing sanitation effectiveness and regulatory compliance. Continuous Improvement & Data Use Evaluate sanitation efficiency and introduce improvements to reduce downtime and increase throughput. Track sanitation KPI performance (e.g., pre-op defects, re-clean rates, EMP trends). Inventory, Supplies, & Equipment Manage sanitation resources and equipment: Maintain adequate inventory of cleaning supplies, tools, PPE, and chemicals, ensure sanitation equipment is in proper working condition, and coordinate with Maintenance to address mechanical issues. Collaborate and optimize chemical usage: Partner with chemical suppliers and FSQA for updates, training, and usage optimization, while supporting other sanitation-related duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities: Lead and manage the sanitation team: Directly supervise sanitation associates, assign work, create schedules, and provide performance feedback. Support development and accountability: Deliver constructive feedback and partner with the People Team and FSQA Manager on performance management and disciplinary actions. Your Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree preferred (Food Science, Microbiology, or related discipline) or equivalent sanitation leadership experience. 2+ years of experience in a food manufacturing environment or similar industry. 1+ years of experience leading a team. Food safety, GMP, HACCP or related training. Your Skills & Abilities: Strong knowledge of food manufacturing sanitation practices, with the ability to read and interpret sanitation SOPs, SDS documents, and regulatory guidelines. Effective communicator and leader with the ability to coach, motivate, and hold team members accountable while maintaining strong organizational and time-management skills. Working knowledge of chemical use and safety procedures, with the ability to complete all required records accurately and consistently. Reliable and dependable, demonstrating strong work ethic, punctuality, and consistent attendance; able to work flexible hours, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and seasonal peak periods. Computer proficient, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Proficient in English; bilingual skills preferred. Completion of all required training programs, including standard-of-work requirements. Physical Requirements: Ability to bend, stretch, twist, reach above and below shoulder height, and move freely throughout all areas of the facility. Ability to climb stairs and stand on the production floor for extended periods (2+ hours). Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry items using proper body mechanics, including lifting up to 50 pounds. Ability to work in cold (32-45°F), wet, and high-activity production environments. Ability to wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE) for the duration of assigned tasks. May require occasional travel to support other Acme facilities. Health & Safety Requirements: Observe and follow all safety rules. Wear required PPE. Follow mandated OSHA regulations.
