So, in October 2008, the team gathered for a strategic offsite, which Tom Erickson on our board of directors facilitated.
Jay Batson, Acquia's founding CEO, continued on as the Vice President at Acquia responsible for incubating new products and partnerships. It took some convincing, but Tom eventually agreed to join us full time as our CEO in 2009.
In 2013, Acquia was named the Fastest Growing Private Technology Company in North America by Deloitte, and remained in the Deloitte's fastest 500 the next year.
In 2014, Amazon invested significantly in Acquia, with which the company wants to continue building its platform for content and commerce.
In 2015, Acquia announced it surpassed £100M in revenue.

There were two landmarks in Acquia's history that had a deciding impact on what Acquia is today, having hit $200 million revenue in 2018.

Now named Acquia DAM, the product is turning heads, with The Forrester Wave™: Digital Asset Management for Customer Experience, Q1 2022 Report calling it out as a leader in the field.
