Founded in 1923, the American College of Radiology® is at the forefront of radiology evolution, representing more than 41,000 diagnostic and interventional radiologists, radiation oncologists, nuclear medicine physicians and medical physicists.

ACR was founded in 1969 by a small group of consumer behavior researchers whose informal meeting at the Ohio State University led to the vision of a yearly conference devoted to the study of consumer behavior.
ACR opened its first home in 1981 for six students who were graduating from high school who needed assistance in meeting their care needs.
The second ACR home opened in 1989, and began a period of growth that lead to our focus in caring for people with multiple medical needs.
They began to act as one organization as of January 1, 2001; however, the merger was not officially and finally approved by New York State until August 21, 2001.
He pointed to Frank Garces, 36, who was hired in 2010 as a temporary worker and now is group leader of the beacon production lines for ACR Electronics.
After changing hands a few times, the company was acquired by Drew Marine of New Jersey in November 2013.
In 2014 after the UK company was closed, the French and Swiss offices were acquired by Catherine Pessel (Director France) and Michel Gobbo (Director Switzerland).
