ACRO Industries company history timeline

1981

In 1988, the company was purchased by ACRO CEO Cliff Loomis and a group of investors. It remained privately owned until 1981, when it was purchased by Ransburg Corporation in Indianapolis.

1982

Acro Service Corporation began in 1982 as a privately-held staffing firm servicing clients in greater Metropolitan Detroit area.

1984

1984 – Houdaille closes doors at the Di-Acro plant amid increasing foreign competition and a lingering strike by union employees.

1988

In 1988, the company was purchased by ACRO CEO Cliff Loomis and a group of investors.

2000

2000 – Strippit sells Di-Acro name and line of manual equipment (shears, finger brakes, benders, notchers, slip rolls, rod parters) and power benders to a firm in Canton, OH. The new owners attempt to bring the manufacturing back to the United States.

2006

9/2006 – First machines ship from Di-Acro, Lake City, MN.

2012

7/2012 – Acrotech sells Di-Acro division to Mischo, Inc.

2021
