Job Summary
Oversee the activities of both contractor and internal resources, to ensure the safe and efficient construction of inside plant activities. Responsible to deliver safe, on-time, on budget construction of facilities in support of P&C and Electric Delivery portfolios. Ability to manage both multiple and more complex projects within the P&C Capital portfolio. Includes contractor oversight, quality control, evaluation, outage planning, commissioning and start-up, and major failure restoration coordination, planning and management. Provide leadership to and development of developmental Inside Plant Construction team members. Provide accurate and timely feedback regarding performance, schedule and cost adherence, and reliable operations.
Job Responsibilities
* Daily quality control and oversight, project logistics management, and process/procedural adherence of both complex and multiple project construction activities.
* Scope development, bid management, procurement, invoice processing, contract administration.
* Support Project Management Teams during Pre-Construction planning including; constructability review, project sequencing, permitting, design, budgets, execution strategy development.
* Contract management of multiple complex construction projects: field change directive, change order management, invoice review and approval, billing process management, project forecast development.
* Provide leadership support and guidance to employees within the construction team. Provide onsite safety oversight and leadership to drive a sustainable safety culture. Provide feedback through onsite job safety observations.
* Technical document management, review of all field test reports, all 3rd party submittals of both contractor and subcontractor test reports e.g. conduit proofing, mandrel, concrete, soil, pile, electrical testing, etc. Construction design documentation review, technical OEM document review, and construction execution document review and submittal, construction contractor field RFI management.
* Outage coordination, start-up and commissioning coordination, and operations coordination for final electrical cut overs to support placing new equipment in service. Clearance tag holder with the ability to identify complex clearances related to scope management between the multiple work groups and organizations.

The purpose of this position is conducting manual and semi-skilled labor rehabilitating lift stations. This is accomplished by removing base 90's, pumps riser piping and valves. Removal of concrete sidewalks and slabs. Then re-install new base 90's pumps, riser pipe, check valves and other pumping equipment. Restoring the area by pouring concrete sidewalks and concrete pump pads, installing security fence around lift station site. Other duties include operating heavy equipment as well as operating a variety of hand and power tools.Apprentice Construction Technician:
* Removing concrete slabs with jack hammer and frontend loader, Removal of lift station wet well concrete cover with concrete saw. Build wooden forms to pour concrete sidewalks, driveways and pump pads.
* Remove base 90's, saw cut 25' riser pipes, unbolt and remove check and gate valves from header pipe.
* Installing base 90's, riser piping in wet well. Assemble header pipe to include check and gate valves, submersible pumps, and ARV's.
* Operates Front end loader by completing pre-trip inspections; back filling open trench; loading dump trucks; disconnecting loader bucket; and evaluating project site and backfilling.
* Set MOT along roadway and maintain daily.
* Install water meter and backflow preventer and all other essential piping.
* All other duties as assigned.
Construction Technician I:
* Completing administrative and planning duties such as: ordering locates; filling out paperwork for right-of-way permitting material takeoffs; setting up bypass; setting up RTU floats; setting up vacuum trucks; injecting leaking wet wells; working under a schedule; contacting subcontractors; and verifying material deliveries.
* Construction and labor duties such as but not limited to building header piping system; shoveling rock; digging holes for tie-ins; using a wheel barrel; picking control panels up; unloading trucks; moving materials into the warehouse; communicating with assistants.
* Safety first knowledge. Understanding gas detectors, pouring and finishing concrete
* Installing valve boxes with riser pipes; utilizing metal detection; pinpointing location; verify incoming sewer lines sizes; digging up locations and install bypass piping; video record job site.
* Operate various equipment; inspect vehicles or equipment; maintain equipment; start up equipment, read blueprints.
* Send emails, handle banking transactions measure fence locations, make drawing, and handle overtime sheet.

* Works under the direct supervision of an assigned Construction Supervisor.
