This role requires someone who can work quickly, manage complex interior fit-outs and renovation projects, and coordinate efficiently with subcontractors. As the Project Estimator, you will drive the budgeting, bidding, and subcontractor engagement processes, ensuring proposals are competitive, accurate, and aligned with strategic goals. Responsibilities: Review and analyze architectural drawings, specifications, and project documents for interior fit-out and renovation projects. Perform detailed quantity take-offs (material, labor, equipment) and prepare comprehensive cost estimates. Solicit, evaluate, and coordinate bids from subcontractors; build and maintain strong relationships with trade partners. Manage the subcontractor buyout process and ensure that trade packages align with budget and scope. Collaborate with design, project management, and operations teams to develop cost-effective solutions; provide value engineering recommendations. Present estimates, pricing packages, and budget breakdowns to senior leadership and stakeholders. Maintain and update estimating databases, historical cost data, and pricing models. Monitor market conditions, material costs, and labor rates to inform accurate pricing. Communicate clearly and regularly with clients, architects, subcontractors, and internal teams. Assist in pre-bid and preconstruction meetings; contribute to strategy and risk assessment. Track and report on estimating performance metrics (e.g., bid hit rate, margin projections, variance analysis). Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years' experience in estimating, specifically in interior fit-outs, commercial renovations, or similar construction. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and cost structures in interiors/renovation. Demonstrated ability to manage and communicate with subcontractors. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to present to internal and external stakeholders. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple bid processes simultaneously. Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and estimating software/tools.
