Participates in the formulation of patient's treatment plans, including the establishment of treatment goals and objectives.
Monitors and documents patient's progress in achieving treatment goals and objectives in group notes, as well as through individual and family sessions.

Requirements
Education - Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., recreational, music, art therapy, or occupational therapy) preferred
Experience - A minimum of 1 year of experience in a field relevant to the therapy specialty area or a combination of education and experience preferred. Healthcare and inpatient psychiatric experience preferred. Teaching or training experience is a plus.
Required Licenses - Certification or registration
Additional Requirements - Must obtain and maintain approved CPR certification as well as successful completion of Management of Aggressive Behavior training including restraint and seclusion policies prior to assuming patient care responsibility.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Excellent communication, assessment, evaluation, and interpretation skills.
Knowledge of psychiatric and addictive disease diagnoses and treatment; flexibility; teaching or training skills helpful; understanding of, or ability to understand, DSMIIIR methodology.
Advanced knowledge and clinical skills in the diagnosis and treatment of mental health. Knowledgeable of patient rights and laws pertaining to mental health.
Must have basic PC skills that include a combination of working in a Windows Operating System and Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel and the ability to type a minimum of 30 words per minute.
Must have excellent communication skills and be a good listener with a pleasant demeanor that encourages and engages others.
Must be able to multi-task, and prioritize with strong time management skills.
Screening: Must successfully pass a background check, drug screen, and physical and be able to provide positive employment references.

Program Information:
- The Therapeutic After-School Program is designed as a structured treatment program that provides therapeutic activities and determines individual goals and assignments related to skill-building for youth between the ages of 6 to 12 who have a mental health diagnosis. Clients may be referred to the program due to needing improvement in areas such as anger management, coping skills, impulse control, problem solving, self-esteem, self-expression, decision making, emotional regulation, social interaction, and creative expression. Additional therapeutic components may focus on socialization, assistance with homework, community outings, and family outreach.

, you are an active member of a multidisciplinary team. Your primary responsibility is to assist and support children and their families in achieving their optimal level of functioning. You will also:
- Provide case administration to an assigned caseload.

Qualifications:
Must have one of the following:
- Have a certification as a BCaBA.
- Have a certification as an RBT.
- Have a certification as a BCAT.
- Have a behavior health certification or behavior analysis certification from an organization that is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies or the American National Standards Institute.
- Have a high school diploma or the equivalent of a high school diploma and have completed a 40-hour training covering the RBT Task List as evidenced by a certification that includes the name of the responsible trainer, who is certified as a BCBA or BCaBA.
- Have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the provision of behavioral health services.
Must have all of the following:
- Have a valid driver's license, good driving record, and access to a reliable vehicle to attend trainings, meetings, and/or transport individual to appointments.
- Able to travel to trainings/meetings upon request of program director.
- Ability to obtain clearances as defined by regulations.
