Acumatica company history timeline

2008

Acumatica launched its first product, Acumatica ERP, in November 2008, alongside an accompanying financial demo.

2009

In early 2009, Ali Jani (VP Partner Strategy, Product Management, and Services) joined the team with his extensive ERP experience.

2010

The firm's distribution software came a year later in April 2010.

2011

In September 2011, Acumatica received an investment from Visma.

In fact, our first OEM vendor, JAMIS Software, joined in 2011.

2013

So in 2013, vendors began to expand mobile applications for increased functionality.

2014

Ali says, “Jon Roskill joined in 2014.

In 2014, Gartner coined the term "postmodern ERP" to describe integrated ERP suites consisting of applications from different vendors.

In the fall of 2014, it released the beta version of its new suite, Acumatica 5.0.

2018

In June 2018, the firm secured a $25 million Series C round of funding led by Accel-KKR, a Silicon Valley technology-focused investment firm.

With Acumatica Summit 2018 just getting underway, our customers and partners are looking forward to a week of exciting product news, networking, and fun.

2019

In June 2019, private equity fund EQT Partners acquired Acumatica.

2020

In December, Acumatica announced a partnership with accounting and advisory firm BDO USA and, in April 2020, it acquired JAAS Advanced Manufacturing Software from JAAS Systems.

2022

In January 2022, Acumatica acquired IBS Imperium, a property management application.
