About the Remote Licensed Therapist (1099 Contractor) role at Headspace: Headspace is currently seeking part-time, independently licensed contractor therapists to provide direct, virtual care as part of a multidisciplinary team on a 1099 contract basis. SUMMARY DESCRIPTION OF WORK Professionals at this level are experienced and able to work with a minimum of supervision. Educational requirements are very specific. The individual will have the ability to sign up for weekday evening/overnights or weekends according to their availability. Frequency of coverage is extremely flexible. On Call therapists are expected to cover one week on call every four to six weeks. Assessments are provided on-site where the crisis is occurring. Conducts a crisis focused assessment and documentation to be completed within 24 hours of crisis call. Establishes an intervention plan, with client and law enforcement participation, which specifies immediate treatment needs and follow-up. Maintains relationships with law enforcement agencies, schools and other key community resources, as well as provide referrals to clients. Ability to handle complex cases. Ability to be on-call, Monday through Friday. Hours include availability from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM on weekdays. On-call requires answering of crisis phone during the day time hours and ability to respond to situations on-site during those hours within 30 minutes. Is dependable and punctual regarding scheduling and attendance. Refers to other Heartland Family Service programs and other community services, as necessary either concurrent with services or for aftercare. Maintains clinical record, meeting established standards of timeliness and completeness. Is prompt and accurate in completing all required reports, and other requirements. Job Description TITLE: Therapist, Behavioral Health RESPONSIBLE TO: Clinical Supervisor WORK AREA: Outpatient office, Community, Telehealth SUMMARY: The Behavioral Health Therapist's primary role, under the direction of the Clinical Supervisor, is to utilize their specialized clinical knowledge and advanced clinical skills in counseling, diagnostic interviews, assessments, and preparation and delivery of treatment plans for children, adolescent, and adult patients. The Behavioral Health Therapist will provide therapy sessions for individuals, groups, and families. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Day-To-Day Responsibilities Provide individual and group strengths-based therapy to children, adolescents, adults, and families. Work with the client to develop an individual treatment plan according to OMHAS and CARF person/family-centered standards, review and monitor services and activities, documenting progress. Participate in care conferences and case reviews, and document and report concerns of abuse or neglect to the appropriate authorities according to the requirements of state/federal law and your licensing body. Requirements QUALIFICATIONS: Associate's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology or closely related field required, Bachelor's or Master's degree preferred. Ohio clinical licensure (such as LSW, LISW, LPC, LPCC), and/or Ohio substance use licensure (LCDCIII or LICDC) is required. Position requires a working knowledge of the DSM-5-TR, family dynamics, and of various psychotherapy modalities and techniques. Position requires an ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary agency team, to communicate and relate effectively with individuals of all ages and families, understanding the Recovery model and working in this model with families, and to be sensitive and attentive to the cultural needs of each client and family.
