POSITION GENERAL SUMMARY:
Performs duties related to daily property tax transactions, including customer service and payment processing; performs duties related to the deposit of funds from County offices and departments; performs related functions as required.
DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS:
A Tax DataClerk performs routine tasks in the receipt, deposit and accounting of property taxes and County funds under general supervision of the Tax Collection Supervisor.
Essential Functions
* Receives and processes payments by check, cash and electronic methods;
* Accurately maintains and balances cash drawer within assignment limits;
* Properly records property tax payments;
* Prepares documentation for refunds or tax adjustments;
* Prepares daily deposits;
* Greets and assists taxpayers with property tax payments and inquiries;
