What do our Food Safety Specialists do?
The primary purpose of this role is to support our hotel, restaurant, and grocery clients in upholding their brand standards, ensuring exceptional food quality, and delivering friendly, customer-focused service to enhance the overall guest experience.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Conduct assessments that measure conformity to established regulatory, industry, and proprietary brand standards for clients
* Observe food prep and cooking standards to ensure food safety, health, and sanitation practices
* Partner with clients to address root causes of assessment discrepancies and develop corrective action plans
* Teach and coach clients how to make their workplace a safer and healthier environment for themselves and THEIR customers
* Travel 50%-70%, or 8-10 days per month, including some evening and weekend work

Key Responsibilities
Facility Security

Resident Management

Monitor and log residents' incoming and outgoing mail

The Facilities Maintenance Worker performs maintenance, light construction, grounds keeping, and repair duties on public buildings and grounds and related facilities. The job performs and assists in performing electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, welding and equipment maintenance duties. The position performs routine custodial, maintenance, and cleaning tasks in an assigned building to maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe environment. Grounds keeping duties include landscaping, mowing, trimming trees, fertilizing, irrigation and pest and weed control.
The job requires knowledge of building trade skills, grounds maintenance skills, and the ability to operate the tools and equipment required to complete the assigned tasks. This is a physically active job performing routine tasks on a regular basis and major project tasks intermittently. The job requires the ability to maintain a collaborative and cooperative working relationship with elected and appointed officials, other City employees, other organizations, and the general public.
The work environment includes a public building cleaning and maintenance environment and outdoor weather conditions including extreme temperatures. The job works at heights and is occasionally exposed to hazardous chemicals, street traffic, noisy and/or loud equipment, moving vehicles, heavy equipment, and power systems/tools which subjects the employee to mechanical, electrical, and traffic hazards. The job requires operating light equipment and power tools including electrically powered cleaning equipment, cleaning substances that may involve related hazards, as well as operating vehicles, which may include a truck and tanker trailer.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Performs building maintenance and repair work on assigned department facilities and structures, including, but not limited to, cleaning, carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing, welding, and concrete assignments. Performs grounds maintenance including mowing, fertilizing, pest and weed control, and snow and ice removal.
* Performs and assists in performing maintenance and repair work on department equipment and vehicles and related electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and structural systems.
* Maintains, services and repairs equipment and tools. Maintains inventory of fuels and fuel additives, including ordering, and prepares and maintains records and reports on fuel usage.
* Maintains work orders, maintenance, environmental, and inspection records. Maintains tools and equipment.
* May weld and fabricate parts as needed. May perform the duties of other workers in assigned department as needed.
* May direct work activities of seasonal or part-time employees.
* Performs cleaning and maintenance in an assigned building including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors and carpets. Dusts and wipes off furniture, fixtures, and surfaces. Cleans restrooms, hallways, offices, meeting, and other public rooms. Cleans interior and exterior glass surfaces. Cleans and sanitizes restroom areas, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, privacy dividers, walls and floors. Maintains supply levels in restrooms, including toilet paper, paper towels, and soap.
* Empties and cleans trash containers, including transporting bagged waste to outside trash receptacles. Separates recyclables.
* Cleans light fixtures and replaces bulbs and/or ballasts. Cleans and polishes mirrors, wood, and other special reflective and decorative surfaces.
* Cleans spills, spot cleans carpets, and removes graffiti as needed. Cleans and maintains custodial equipment.

ACCEPTABLE EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS
* High school diploma or GED; and
* Class B CDL with airbrake endorsements required;
* One (1) year of general maintenance experience is preferred

$12.00-$17.00 per hour to referee. $8.00 to $10.00 per hour to supervise practices at the gym. Part-time 10-15 hours/week working either as a referee or gym supervisor or both. Must have knowledge of and/or previous experience with the sport of Basketball and be able to communicate well with the public and city employees. Must be Self-motivated, able to handle stressful situations, and be prompt in decision making while officiating basketball games. Work will be performed in various basketball gyms within the City of Rexburg. All employees will be asked to get themselves to the assigned gym and be ready to referee/supervise that day's games. This job will mostly be on Saturdays for games and practices during the week. Referees/supervisors are given whistles and will be trained to enhance knowledge of the sport.
