Position Summary
The Instructional Designer position designs and builds online courses that incorporate best practices to ensure a high-quality learning experience in a primarily, but not exclusively, online setting.
This position works directly with faculty and subject matter experts to develop course curricula and instructional materials for credit and noncredit courses, as well as standalone learning assets. The successful candidate in this role will demonstrate experience using a range of educational technology and pedagogical practices to create meaningful learning opportunities in the online space. The Instructional Designer will report to a Senior Manager of Instructional Design and join a team that works collaboratively to support the teaching and learning mission of the University.
This position will support in the creation of both English- and Spanish-language courses and be expected to collaborate with developing partners in entirely in Spanish.
This position is eligible for fully-remote work.
Required Job Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree.
+ Minimum of 3 years of experience developing courses in collaboration with instructors or subject-matter experts.
+ Fluent in Spanish and English, both written and verbal.
+ Demonstrated ability to:
+ Manage multiple projects, prioritize work independently, and meet strict deadlines.
+ Apply best practices in instructional design and educational theory to creating online-focused content.
+ Maintain strong, productive working relationships with external collaborators, such as faculty and subject-matter experts.
+ Give thorough and constructive feedback on partners' work.
+ Train others, especially faculty and subject-matter experts, in best pedagogical practices and on using instructional technologies.
+ Write and communicate at an excellent level.

+ Advanced degree in education, instructional design, or a closely related field.
+ Experience working in higher education or with lifelong learning ecosystems.

+ Experience working in Canvas Learning Management System.

Description of Work Unit
Student-Athlete Support Services ( SASS ) is under President's Office and reports directly to the President's Chief of Staff while working in close collaboration with Athletics. The calling of Student-Athlete Support Services ( SASS ) is to inspire and cultivate Ah-Ha moments. The staff provides support for all student-athletes from the time they arrive on campus for a recruiting visit until they graduate. The staff provides resources, experience and knowledge empowering each student-athlete to reach his/her academic and personal potential.
Colorado State University is located in Fort Collins, a city of 161,000. Located 65 miles north of Denver, the city is nestled against the foothills of the Rocky Mountains and alongside the banks of the Cache La Poudre River. Fort Collins offers the convenience of a small town with the amenities of a larger city including a strong public school system, various recreational opportunities, cultural offerings, and dining venues. Residents experience a moderate 4-season climate with an average of 300 days of sunshine a year.
Position Summary
This position will oversee the SASS Content Tutor Program and Evening Objective Based Study Hall Program. In this role staff will: schedule ongoing tutoring sessions for student-athletes, collect program data to improve learning for student-athletes, provide intensive summer academic support for incoming first-year student-athletes, and create and implement special academic programming to support student-athletes' growth in writing and mathematics. This position will report to the Senior Learning Specialist and serve as a learning specialist for approximately 20 high academic risk student-athletes. Nights and weekend work required.
Required Job Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree in areas of education, counseling, psychology or related field with at least 2 years of experience in higher education, academic advising or Student-Athlete Support Services
+ or
+ Master's degree in area of counseling, student affairs/services, education or sports management, or related field and at least 1 year of experience working in higher education
+ Demonstrated ability to teach literacy development strategies, writing skill development, math skills development, study skills, and organization/time management skills
+ Working knowledge of effective learning strategies, research-based pedagogical practices and use of technology for instruction

Position Summary

This position works directly with faculty and subject matter experts to develop course curricula and instructional materials for credit and noncredit courses, as well as standalone learning assets. The CU Denver Business School seeks to establish and maintain a pool of Lecturers in Career & Professional Development from which future appointments to temporary, non-tenure-track positions will be made. Appointments will be part-time (less than 50% FTE) and will be made semester-by-semester, as teaching needs arise.

Lecturer in Career & Professional Development
What you will do:
Lecturers selected from this pool will teach Career & Professional Development classes in the Business School at CU Denver. Lecturers selected may also be assigned to teach varying one-credit courses, to include Professional Selling and more. Duties include delivery of tailored instruction to a variety of language and cultural backgrounds in accordance with prescribed curricular objectives and outcomes, preparing for each class ahead of time with balanced rigorous lesson plans, assessing student progress according to curricular objectives and outcomes, and adhering to program policies and procedures by reporting student offenses (plagiarism, cheating, absences, etc.).
Classes taught will be at either the undergraduate or graduate level and will generally be limited to one-credit or three-credit hours. Lecturers teaching these classes will instruct in either one or multiple teaching modalities (in-person, online-remote, or hybrid).

**What you will do:**
Lecturers selected from this pool will teach Career & Professional Development classes in the Business School at CU Denver. Duties include delivery of tailored instruction to a variety of language and cultural backgrounds in accordance with prescribed curricular objectives and outcomes, preparing for each class ahead of time with balanced rigorous lesson plans, assessing student progress according to curricular objectives and outcomes, and adhering to program policies and procedures by reporting student offenses (plagiarism, cheating, absences, etc.).

This is a full-time position and the person in this role is expected to work typical working hours of Monday - Friday, 5:15am-1:45pm or 8:15am-4:45pm.

Key Responsibilities:Manage and ensure the efficient and smooth daily functionality of the ARTS AOP Intake Department.
Delegate and assign patient intakes, treatment modalities, and other substance use disorder (SUD) and/or Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) modalities and customize assignments according to AOP clinicians' specializations or focus areas for providing treatment.
Manage, create, and maintain multiple patient information databases and spreadsheets accurately, efficiently, and in a timely manner.

Manage and maintain productive professional relationships with ARTS-internal partners and external agencies or organizations, and ensure that patients' past and present financial, fee payment and/or back fees data are entered into electronic patient health information records at point of intake, and throughout the patients' treatment(s) received from ARTS.
Conduct outreach activities to engage patients in SUD treatment and/or MAT services.

Perform internal cleaning and maintenance including vacuuming,mopping, waxing, buffing and stripping floors, painting walls and cleaning walls, windows, restrooms, mirrors and other common areas.
Complete work orders by performing minor repairs or adjustments including plumbing, repairing locks, carpentry, replacing light bulbs and ballasts, repairing or replacing door closers and dusting as needed.
Supervise custodial team including directing work, training and assisting with discipline. Schedule staff and overtime.
Set up for events, assemble furniture and equipment, load laminator, drain compressor, spot buff floors, shampoo carpets and report workorders.
Perform work outdoors including cleaning roof drains, shoveling snow, raking leaves, picking up trash and checking playground equipment as dictated by District policy.
Assist building staff with fire and tornado drills as dictated by District and building policy. Assist with emergencies as needed.
Walk building grounds and report vandalism and security problems and create work orders as dictated by District policy.
Assist building staff as needed including cleaning up messes, storing supplies, lifting and moving, cleaning graffiti and adjusting furniture, and assist with other tasks as needed.
Order and stock custodial and maintenance supplies.
Evaluate custodial equipment for defects and service, Order parts and repair or send out for repair if needed.
Attend training classes on asbestos, chemical use, new supplies and techniques.
EDUCATION:
High school diploma or equivalent
Criminal background check required for hire
Hours are 6:00 am to 2:30 pm Monday through Friday. Full time, year round position.
STARTING SALARY RANGE: $21.17 per hour + benefits. Additional compensation is determined based on relevant experience.
WORK YEAR: 245 contract days (Custodial Calendar)
