We are hiring a MaintenanceTechnician for our growing team! The MaintenanceTechnician will primarily be responsible for providing world-class care to clients by ensuring needed machines, mechanical equipment, or the structure of an establishment remains in a good condition.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
Dismantle machines, equipment, or devices to access and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, or power tools.
Perform routine maintenance, such as inspecting drives, motors, or belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, or doing other preventive maintenance actions.
Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary.
Repair machines, equipment, or structures, using tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches, or equipment such as precision measuring instruments or electrical testing devices.
Maintain or repair specialized equipment or machinery located in cafeterias, laundries, hospitals, stores, offices or factories.
Assemble boilers at installation sites, using tools such as levels, plumb bobs, hammers, torches, or other hand tools.
Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical or electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, or equipment.
Test and treat water supply.
Clean or lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, or other parts of machinery.
Inventory and maintain stock and supply.
Other duties as assigned.
Key Experience and Education Needed:
High school diploma or GED
Minimum 1 year general maintenance.
Experience includes electrical, mechanical, and plumbing.
Other Qualifications to be Considered:
Mechanical - Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance.
Building and Construction - Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of houses, buildings or other structures such as highways and roads.
Customer and Personal Service - Knowledge or principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.

Equipment Maintenance - Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed.
Repairing - Repairing machines or systems using the needed tools.

Critical Thinking - Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
Equipment Selection - Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job.

About the role

What you'll do
Manage and close out facility work orders in ServiceChannel, meeting KPI timelines.
Prioritize urgent repairs and proactively communicate changes or delays.
Perform routine club inspections to spot hazards and maintenance needs.
Handle hands-on fixes: carpentry, tile, painting, drywall, and general building repairs.
Complete assigned plumbing, electrical, and mechanical maintenance.
Keep managers and the Facilities team updated on repair status and timelines.
Travel between assigned clubs in your own vehicle (mileage reimbursed).
Support after-hours/emergency on-call needs as scheduled.
Attend required meetings and follow all club, service, and emergency procedures.
What you bring
1-4 years of facilities experience (preferred).
Basic skills in carpentry/painting/drywall and general repair.
Foundational understanding of commercial electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems (apprentice or supervised experience welcome).
Familiarity with ServiceChannel or similar CAFM/FMS.
Strong work ethic: punctual, organized, detail-oriented, and safety-minded.
Friendly, professional, and patient communicator (verbal & non-verbal).
Clean, professional appearance and great customer service instincts.
Ability to choose and use the right tools safely and effectively.
Valid Driver's License and willingness to work flexible hours.
Multi-site facilities maintenance experience (essential).
Relevant facilities certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities:
Help provide a stable, safe, clean and reasonably aesthetically pleasing environment, in and around the corporation and all of its facilities and houses, that promotes learning, wellness and recovery. This may include all of or any of the following:
Perform minor repairs on plumbing and electrical.
Perform regular inspections and verify functionality of safety systems to ensure JCAHO compliance to include fire alarms, fire extinguishers, electrical cords, etc.
Practice preventative maintenance at all facilities and provide backup and schedules to indicate this practice. This includes replacing air filters, light bulbs, blinds, mattresses, etc.

Responsibilities
Mechanical System Maintenance and Repair - 80%
* Installs, maintains, and repairs equipment such as steam valves, steam traps, steam or water coils, radiators, water softeners, unit heaters, water heaters, condensate and circulating pumps.
* Installs, services, and repairs electric motors, heaters, coolers, refrigerators, and other related equipment using various hand and power tools of the maintenance trades.
* Installs, maintains, and repairs air compressors and other air conditioning equipment using various machine tools.
* Services and repairs appliances such as fans, toasters, washing machines, and gasoline pumps using machine and hand tools; may also maintain, operate, and repair motor vehicles (tune-ups, brakes, hydraulics).
* Maintains central steam and chemical water treatment systems, as well as other systems, using gauges and other test instruments to diagnose malfunctions and mechanic hand and power tools to disassemble, repair, and reassemble system components.
* Fabricates, assembles, and tests parts as needed, such as various pumps, valves, laboratory equipment, heaters, compressors, experimental fire equipment, and other mechanical system parts using metal fabricating tools, common hand tools, power tools, and welding torches.
* Safely operates electrical and air powered tools, pipe fitting, welding, hydraulic, pneumatic, and other mechanical tools, snow removal and salt spreader equipment and/or other heavy equipment assigned to the department.
* Installs new/replacement equipment and materials in facilities by performing electrical, plumbing, carpentry, welding, masonry, glazing, boiler, hydraulic, pneumatic, irrigation, heating, refrigeration, ventilating, air conditioning and other maintenance work.
* Trouble shoots, diagnoses and repairs malfunctions in boilers, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, heating, refrigeration, ventilating and air conditioning, irrigation and other RTD systems, structures and equipment.
Special Projects - 20%
* Participates in meetings, workshops, training, and seminars, as assigned for conveying and/or gathering information required to perform job functions.
* May assist in establishing a safe work environment for employees by performing safety audits, tests, and inspections; conducting safety-related training; and maintaining on-going communications with employees and customers regarding drills, tests, and training focused on life safety regulations.
* Maintains external relations related to Facilities Management including government relations, local, State and Federal regulatory agencies, The Joint Commission (TJC), insurance carriers, and others as needed.
* Assists with maintaining compliance with all Federal, State and local regulations and TJC standards by collecting, compiling, and auditing regulatory compliance documentation as assigned.
* Leads training and department orientation for new and existing associates.
* Leads special projects as assigned.
* Serves as Subject Matter Expert for facilities stakeholders in one or more of the following areas related to facilities maintenance and regulatory compliance: general mechanical maintenance and repair of healthcare facilities, life safety compliance, healthcare facility. regulatory compliance, facilities preventative maintenance programs, locksmith master, work order systems, or related facilities maintenance.
* May direct daily work assignments for team members and inspect work to ensure compliance with customer service, quality or compliance standards.
* Other duties as assigned.

Essential Functions:
