We are hiring a SecurityOfficer for our growing team! The SecurityOfficer is a vital member of the corporate office component of the system of care. The SecurityOfficer is responsible for creating a safe and healthy environment for person served/clients and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Patrols and monitors an assigned area; reports suspicious activities to local authorities
Monitors surveillance cameras, inspects property, and monitors crowds
Provides constant monitoring of vehicular and pedestrian traffic throughout the campus
Contacts law enforcement or fire department in case of an emergency
After business hours, checks doors, windows, and gates to ensure the property is secure
Investigates reports of suspicious activity on the property
Reasonably detains persons suspected of criminal activity until law enforcement arrives
Escorts discharged staff, trespassers, and other unwelcome parties off the premises
Maintains written log of all security related incidents and their dispositions.
Performs other related duties as assigned
Key Experience and Education Needed:
High school graduate or GED required
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university preferred
Previous work experience as a security guard or related position is preferred
Substance abuse field experience preferred.
Excellent communication skills.
Analytical and multitasking skills

Essential Functions:

Sound alarms or calls for police, fire department, or EMS in case of fires, medical emergencies, criminal activities, or presence of unauthorized persons.

Provide customer service to our UL Health by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.

Orally and physically de-escalating individuals and situations, as needed.

Objective and Essential Duties:
Provide security services for various airlines, exhibiting exceptional customer service and safety skills. Ensure the safety of property and people.
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Provide security at the assigned gate. Employee will enter the secure area of the jet bridge using their employee ID and stand by the door of the airplane and constantly watch both doors to ensure that no person without a valid airport ID enters the jet bridge or airplane. Employee will also count each cleaner and scan them with the security wand. Employee will fill out a form detailing the cleaner count, arrival time of airplane and airplane pushback time.
Provide security at the ramp for the assigned airline. Employee will receive baggage cart from bag room, counting each bag as they are placed onto the airplane. Agent must ensure that there are no questionable items placed onto the airplane, and that all bags are accounted for. Agents must also ensure that no person (besides ramp workers) are allowed past the airplane perimeter.
Search of assigned flight. . Agent will make sure all regulations and safety procedures are met and be able to find and identify any unauthorized item inside the aircraft and report any case to the supervisor.
Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities
