The RADPSS performs a wide range of tasks to assist peers of all ages, from young adult to old age, in regaining independence within the community and mastery over their own recovery process. These duties apply to Revive Ministries, Inc.substance use treatment programs. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Will plan for, obtain, and evaluate services for the persons served. As applicable, will follow the WRAP Recovery Plan, Crisis Response Plan and/or Crisis Plan when delivering services to the consumer or relevant collaterals. The RADPSS will provide direct and indirect supportive services to consumers in the community to minimize risk and decrease the likelihood of an escalating crisis (Wellness Recovery Action Plans, Stress Management, Education, Resource Awareness, Recovery Oriented, Service Access, etc.). The RADPSS will complete all required records as dictated by the agency. Follows protocols and in alliance with relevant stakeholder expectations and requirements. BACKGROUND/ EDUCATION: Be eighteen (18) years of age or older; Have a current or past diagnosis of a substance use, or co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders; Have received or be receiving treatment. Have a high school diploma or GED certificate; Demonstrate a pattern of recovery from a mental health, substance use, or co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders; Successfully complete or be in process of completing the Registered Alcohol and Drug Peer Support Specialist training and supervision approved by the Kentucky Board of Alcohol and Drug Counselors. Work in conjunction with the clinical team to coordinate services. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS: Must have knowledge of medical privacy and confidentiality (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act [HIPAA]); computer applications/software to include Microsoft Office programs/MS Outlook (e-mail), and internet familiarity. Experience working with individuals and families who have various mental, behavioral, and substance abuse conditions. SKILLS REQUIRED: Follow all applicable regulations including KRS 309.0831 and 201 KAR 35:070.
