Additional Information
As a Non Emergency Medical Transportation company our main hours of operation are 6 AM - 6 PM Monday through Saturday, however as we travel anywhere within the state of Kansas, as well as outside of the state borders when necessary, hours needed for transport can exceed those hours of operation on either end.
We are looking for individuals who are wanting and willing to drive up to 200 miles outside of the city of Wichita for transport needs, with wide hours of availability to accommodate what our contracts need from us.
As a driver for UMT you would be an independent contractor, so you supply what your hours of availability are and we schedule you within that based on the trips we have assigned. Not only do you determine your own hours to a degree, you get to enjoy your vehicle as your office space every day! The schedule tends to become more fluid on some days, but you always get to choose the music, or muzak!

: We are seeking a professional and experienced driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of safely operating and hauling trailers, a strong commitment to customer service, and a keen attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate and haul a variety of trailers, including flatbeds, enclosed trailers, and specialty trailers.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicles and trailers are in optimal condition.
Secure loads properly to prevent shifting or damage during transit.
Follow all state and federal transportation regulations.
Load and off load materials being delivered to the retail and plant locations.
Maintain accurate logs of working hours, vehicle service, and repair status.
Communicate effectively with production plants and store managers to ensure timely delivery of goods.
Perform routine maintenance and report any issues to the maintenance department.
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in trailer hauling.
Clean driving record.
Ability to lift and secure loads up to 50+ lbs.
Strong knowledge of state and federal transportation regulations.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and handle unexpected situations calmly and efficiently.
A valid driver's license is required.

You'll get to....
Safely drive clients along a pre-determined route following all traffic laws. This includes providing door to door service, assisting passengers to and from the vehicle, and ensuring they are secure in the vehicle.
Maintain records accurately and thoroughly including trip information, vehicle pre and post checks, incident reports, timesheets, and other relevant information.
Provide great service to passengers that reflect the values of CCFW and the Transportation Department.
Work Hours
Hours: Afternoons- 1:30pm to 5:30pm, Monday-Friday. This position may require flexibility to work various hours, depending on current program needs.
Are you the newest Part-Time Driver?
High School Diploma required.
Ability to push/pull 250+ pounds, moving clients in wheelchairs required.
Excellent customer service required.
Ability to operate passenger vehicles, a two-way radio and a tablet required.
Knowledge of basic vehicle operating mechanics required.
Prior experience driving passengers and/or small commercial vehicles or working with older adults and/or persons with disabilities preferred.
25+ years of age required positions that involve driving agency vehicles, as required by agency insurance.
Valid driver's license, safe driving record, and reliable transportation required.
