Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities and implement appropriate measures to mitigate risks. Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging trends, and technological advancements in safety and security to continuously improve protocols and procedures. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement crisis management plans and business continuity strategies. Develop and lead safety and emergency response training programs, including New Hire safety orientation and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs). Foster a culture of accountability by coaching supervisors and employees on safety standards, PPE compliance, audit participation, and adherence to policies. Safety And Security Coordinator Required Skills Strong knowledge of safety and security regulations, particularly in heavy manufacturing, with an emphasis on OSHA compliance. Experience with Workers' Compensation and general liability insurance is required Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate safety and security information to diverse audiences. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address potential risks and vulnerabilities. Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively. Proficient in the use of security systems, such as access control, surveillance cameras, and alarms. Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in safety and security management, preferably in a corporate or industrial setting Knowledge of applicable local, state, and federal safety and security regulations. Experience in conducting safety and security audits, risk assessments, and investigations. Familiarity with crisis management and business continuity planning. Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism. Strong physical fitness and the ability to respond to emergency situations, if required.
