    A precision machining company in the Cincinnati area is seeking an experienced Surface Grinder Operator to join its first-shift team. This role requires full setup and operation of precision surface grinders, including Brown & Sharpe, Chevalier, and similar equipment. The operator will be responsible for accurate wheel dressing, maintaining tight tolerances, and ensuring high-quality part finishes in a clean and organized shop environment. **Key Responsibilities** + Set up and operate precision surface grinders, including changing wheels and adjusting or replacing dressing diamonds. + Grind magnetic chucks as required and secure parts using appropriate tooling. + Operate machines in both automatic and manual modes. + Dress grinding wheels (flat, contour, and angular) and control feeds, speeds, and coolant application to ensure accuracy and proper finish. + Read and interpret engineering prints and part specifications. + Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, scales, optical comparators, dial indicators, and gauge blocks. + Operate multiple machines with minimal supervision to maintain workflow and efficiency. + Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of equipment; follow lockout/tagout procedures. + Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies related to attendance, reporting, and housekeeping. + Perform additional machining tasks as assigned by the Supervisor. **Qualifications** + Experience operating precision surface grinders (Brown & Sharpe, Chevalier, or similar). + Ability to perform complete machine setup and accurate wheel dressing. + Strong understanding of precision measuring tools and inspection methods. + Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and tolerances. + Capable of working independently in a fast-paced machining environment. + Physical ability to bend, stoop, stand, walk, and lift light materials throughout the shift. **Compensation & Benefits** + Pay range: **$20-$25/hr** , based on experience + **Medical insurance:** + **401(k):** Offered + **Paid holidays** + **Standard PTO package** + Stable, long-tenured environment with low turnover + Straightforward, one-step interview process **Equal Employment Opportunity** This employer is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
