Essential Job Responsibilities:

Experienced instructor needed to teach 300 level pharmacology course for nursing students. It is an online, asynchronous, 10-week accelerated, 3-credit course taught from May 27-August 1, 2025.
This course is designed to introduce students to pharmacological principles. The various drug classifications and general characteristics of drugs within a class is examined. The course also focuses on complete analysis of pharmacotherapeutics and drug interactions.
Experience teaching pharmacology in an online environment is required. Faculty who teach with the Elsevier 2023 - 11th Ed. text, Pharmacology: A Patient-Centered Nursing Process Approach, will be given preference. NMC upholds active and engaged student learning methods. GENERAL DESCRIPTION: As an assistant to the high school Band Director, the Percussion Instructor is responsible for the planning and instruction of the school's percussion students. Responsibilities will encompass both battery and pit percussion. The instructor prepares and rehearses the ensemble for independent performances and competitions in accordance with school curriculum.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
The Percussion Instructor will:
Engage students to practice, play and perform introduced materials.
Attend all rehearsals, sectionals, and performances, actively participating in assisting students in sectionals and whole group rehearsals.
Teach drum line basics, i.e. warm-ups, marching techniques and stick work.
Provide a rounded percussion playing experience and education
Work with the director during rehearsals and provide input into placement of students on particular instruments of the percussion section.
Teach and assist the “pit” section players with mallet technique and the memorization of music.
Assist in teaching drill for the show. Choreograph sticking and drum line movement to match the drill.
Monitor and control student behavior according to established procedures.
Maintain inventories of percussion supplies, materials and equipment.
Adjust and maintain percussion instruments ensuring timely availability for student use.
Be able to work outdoors and indoors; exposure to sun, heat, cold and inclement weather.

QUALIFICATIONS:
