The successful candidate will be expected to teach a combination of undergraduate and graduate courses in the program, conduct and publish research in the discipline, work with and advise students, audit and support professional development for part-time and adjunct faculty, and present at professional conferences in areas supporting the program mission, vision and values as well as recruitment and retention efforts. The successful candidate will be expected to support the school's priority of advancing student success through service and teaching university learning course sections.
Courses are taught through a variety of modalities including fully online, hybrid, face-to-face, and on-demand. WKU is a residential campus. Job Requirements:
* A PhD from a regionally accredited university in Leadership, Organizational Leadership, Leadership Studies or a related discipline with substantial coursework (18+ hours) in field. EdD may be considered.
* Demonstrated successful executive level experience leading an organization, including but not limited to higher education, business and industry, non-profits, public administration, or other related organizations.
* Demonstrated teaching experience at the graduate level.
* Demonstrated capacity to conduct and publish peer-reviewed research in the discipline.
* Demonstrated experience with curriculum assessment, development and design.

WKU is pleased to offer an exciting opportunity in undergraduate engineering education and professional engagement with regional industry. For a tenure-eligible Assistant Professor position, the areas of priority and specialization include thermo-fluids and mechanical systems. However, candidates from other related areas will also be considered.
The ideal candidate will be able to guide students on projects and will have a strong interest in creating and expanding existing external collaborations, including performing applied research on meaningful industry-sponsored projects and participating in multi-disciplinary faculty initiatives. The ideal candidate will have the ability to teach across the mechanical engineering curriculum and offer specialized electives in their area of expertise.
The ABET accredited, baccalaureate-only mechanical engineering program integrates project-based design experiences throughout the curriculum, with all faculty contributing to this effort. Academic and professional mentoring of students, as well as service activities at all levels of the university are expected. In addition to pedagogical contributions, the successful candidate will be expected to develop a scholarly program with appropriate student engagement.
