Job Description:
We are looking to add a colleague who enjoys providing classroom and laboratory instruction in Medical Coding and Health Information Management to students enrolled in certificate programs. The successful candidate will appreciate the diversity of the community college population, have a strong commitment to student-centered education, and demonstrate a passion for evidence-based teaching methods.
Faculty members typically provide 15 credit hours of instruction each semester and participate in college service such as community outreach, committee work, and advising students. BCC offers regular professional development opportunities.

The Director of the Program provides academic, administrative, and strategic leadership to support the development and delivery of a high-quality, interdisciplinary doctoral program. They ensure that the Program aligns with the mission, vision, and strategic goals of CEHC and the University at Albany. The Director is further responsible for promoting academic excellence, fostering a strong research culture, ensuring student success, and managing program operations. Candidates should be able to take an integrative approach in working with faculty, staff, and students from a variety of backgrounds within and outside the college.
The successful candidate is an integral part of the Department's instructional team. Associate or Full Professors deliver undergraduate and graduate-level instruction, conduct research, and partake in advisement responsibilities. Each semester, the tenure-track and tenured faculty generally teach two courses. While we welcome candidates from a range of specializations and methodologies, we especially encourage candidates whose scholarly work critically engages with diverse ways of understanding issues in technology and society. This could include scholarship in topics such as information science, cybersecurity, emergency management, artificial intelligence, communications or related areas.

Appointment Details:

Job Summary
The Department of Biological Sciences at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor in Cellular Neuroscience. We seek a passionate and innovative individual in the field of neuroscience, with a particular focus on quantitative and cell/organismal biology, whose research focuses on the use of model systems to understand the fundamental biology of the nervous system, particularly the role of plasticity in the aging brain and the fundamental biology of neurogenerative disease. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated potential to establish a strong externally funded research program and contribute to the teaching mission of the department.
This position is part of a faculty cluster hire funded by support from the Simons Foundation designed to stimulate research in the basic sciences across New York State.
Minimum Qualifications
All candidates must hold a Ph.D. degree, or foreign degree equivalent in biology and/or neuroscience or a closely related field. Postdoctoral experience is required. Candidates for the rank of Assistant Professor must exhibit promise of future distinction in research, scholarship, and teaching. Specifically, candidates who have the demonstrated potential to establish a strong externally funded research program, primarily in cellular or organismal neuroscience are desired.
All exceptional candidates will be considered, and we especially encourage applications from individuals who will bring both experimental and computational research approaches and skill sets to address fundamental problems in neuroscience. A candidate who complements existing strengths at Rensselaer and who can leverage existing platforms such as the Center for Biotechnology and Interdisciplinary Studies, the Center for Modeling, Simulation, and Imaging in Medicine, or the Rensselaer Future of Computing Institute (FOCI) is desired.

Depending on departmental need, the successful candidate may be asked to teach either the 3-credit ENGL 150 course, or College Writing Enhanced, our co-requisite 4-credit College Writing course for students who need extra in-person support to succeed.
College Writing emphasizes college-level writing, reading, research and revision practices necessary for academic and civic engagement. Though individual course content can vary depending on faculty interests, by the end of their College Writing course, students will compose at least four major writing projects across a range of genres and audiences. Given that good writing develops from a recursive process involving collaboration, revision and reflection, students will be asked to complete multiple drafts of each assignment with the help of genre-specific workshops and faculty and peer feedback. Overall, by the end of each course, students will compose 15-20 pages of polished prose using a variety of genres to reach different audiences. Chartpak, Inc. is an art and office supply company located in Leeds, MA. Chartpak is the parent company of Grumbacher art supplies, the US distributor of Koh-I-Noor drawing supplies, and host of the online artist community, thalo.com.
Watercolor, acrylic painting and/or drawing instructor wanted to teach art classes at the Michaels store in Pittsfield!
This is a part-time, permanent position. This is a great opportunity for an artist who would like to be able to offer classes, but does not have their own studio space to do so.
We are looking for instructors who:
-have the ability to paint and/or draw realistically
-have the ability
to teach
realistic, acrylic painting, watercolor and/or drawing classes
-have the willingness to market their classes and build their own student base
Compensation:
FREE Basics: MAKE A Project Classes:
Scheduled
up to one time per month
Hourly rate plus $3 per student
Advanced Classes
: Acrylic Painting, Watercolor and Drawing Classes:
Hourly rate plus $7 per student for 6 students in attendance or less
Hourly rate plus $10 per student for 7 students in attendance or more
*All schedules to be determined between instructor and Michaels store management.
Duration:
Classes are two hours in length.
The goal of each class is for students to leave with a finished painting or drawing.
Certification:
All Grumbacher art instructors who teach classes at Michaels must become certified through Grumbacher.

Job Description:
Berkshire Community College seeks to increase its pool of qualified adjunct faculty to teach courses in Computer Information Systems (CIS), Cybersecurity and Networking. Courses may include:
* Computer Literacy
* IT Essentials
* C++ Programming
* Networking
* Cybersecurity
Teaching formats: online, hybrid, and in-person. Assignments depend on enrollment and availability.
Adjunct faculty members typically teach one or more course sections per semester, being responsible for instructional preparation, content presentation, learning activities, and student assessment. Guidance from experienced faculty members and administrators as well as professional development will be available.
Adjunct faculty members are not required to advise students or to hold office hours.
Requirements:
* Preferred: Master's degree in computer science or related field
* Considered: Bachelor's degree with teaching experience
* Networking/Cybersecurity background a plus
Additional Information:
* Pay: $1,397/credit - $1,688/credit, based on DCE step, per the DCE Contract, (non-benefited)
