Position Description
We invite applications to fill adjunct teaching, non-tenure-track, semester-by-semester hire positions. Depending on the program needs, the adjunct faculty could be asked to teach one or more courses per year either onsite, online or in a combined format for the MS in Financial Economicsprograms. The adjunct instructor will report to the program director for MS in Financial Economics program.
The expected salary range for this position is: $8,755 - $9,270 per course.
The referenced salary range is based on Johns Hopkins University's good faith belief at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to the selected candidate may vary and will be based on factors including, but not limited to, the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate - e.g., years in rank, training, field, discipline, other work experience, and other similar factors; geographic location; internal equity; external market conditions; and other factors as reasonably determined by the University.
For Fall 2025, we are particularly interested in hiring instructors who are able to teach Financial Economics, Financial Econometrics, Financial Intermediation, Investments and Financial Management, Behavioral Economics and Finance, and Derivatives.
Qualifications
The adjunct must have a passion for education and its power to change lives, especially for international, part-time, and non-residential students. A track record of successful graduate and/or online teaching. Candidates who have experience teaching and engaging students from diverse backgrounds are of particular interest. Qualified candidates will meet a set of minimum qualifications and several additional preferred qualifications.

The University of Maryland Faculty Practice is seeking a full-time faculty member with specialty training in Headache and facial pain syndromes to join the Department of Neurology.
The Department of Neurology provides evaluation, treatment, and care for patients suffering from a wide range of neurological disorders including stroke, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), and migraine. We provide care through our inpatient and consultative services, our designated Comprehensive Stroke Center, our Level 4 Epilepsy Center, our 22-bed Neuro-Critical Care Unit, and our busy outpatient practice. The Department also provides state-of-the-art rehabilitation services. A number of departmental faculty received grant funding from the National Institutes of Health and the Veteran's Administration to study the role of genetics in stroke, epilepsy, and Parkinson's disease, new brain imaging modalities in multiple sclerosis, biomarkers in multiple sclerosis, and neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism and intellectual disability. Many of our faculty are lead investigators in clinical trials to identify new therapeutic approaches for a broad range of neurological disorders.
The faculty member will expand a multi-disciplinary outpatient practice focusing on headache, migraine and facial pain syndromes. Clinical responsibilities will include inpatient consultation as well as procedures such as chemo denervation, nerve blocks, trigger point injections, infusion protocols and alternative approaches as appropriate, as well as coordinate clinical trials related to headache. Strong collaboration with behavioral health and integrative plan services is expected. The selected faculty will participate in education and teaching of medical students and residents and to assist with launch of a headache fellowship.
Salary range:

Job Description
The Virginia Tech School of Architecture, based in the College of Architecture, Arts, and Design, invites applications for an Assistant Professor position, based at the Washington Alexandria Architecture Center (WAAC). The WAAC is an intimate educational community of upper-level undergraduates, Master of Architecture students, as well as students pursuing advanced research degrees in Urban Design (MS) and the History and Theory of Architecture (MS/PhD). WAAC full-time faculty work with a small cadre of long-time adjunct faculty to educate the next generation of architects, architectural theorists and historians, and leaders in our fields. The primary teaching responsibilities of this position include offering vertical studios and seminars to students from a variety of backgrounds, including upper-level undergraduates, and advanced first professional degree graduate students, as well as research-focused masters and doctoral students. As part of this role, you will be advising undergraduate, master's, and PhD students. We are particularly interested in candidates with a strong interest and experience in mentoring student research, being active in organizations such as ACSA, CELA, et al., interest in and willingness to be active in recruiting for the WAAC and an interest in helping to develop an M. Arch III program.
We seek candidates who complement and expand existing research interests and teaching areas and help expand instruction in theory and application of digital representation and fabrication. Areas of interest and expertise at Washington Alexandria Architecture Center have included histories and theories of architectural representation and intersections among landscape architecture, architecture, and the city. Research interests that connect, enhance, and extend these themes into digital practices will be prioritized.
This position is a full-time nine-month tenure track appointment with an anticipated start date of August 2026.

Minimum Job Requirements
The Political Science program seeks a faculty member with academic qualifications, supervisory leadership, and teaching experience in the core areas of African American Studies/Politics and Public Administration/Public Policy. Priority consideration will be given to applicants with demonstrated leadership and supervisory experiences at the program, department, and/or division levels of academia and an interest in administrative responsibilities. The Opportunity:
We're looking for Bike and Trail Instructors for our Spring Break Camps. Here's how this job plays a role:
As an instructor you will spend your days outside while inspiring the next generation of cyclists. It's active, adventurous, fun, and incredibly rewarding.
We are looking for Instructors that can work 20 - 40hrs a week for our classes that run Monday to Friday in the AM, PM, or All Day.
You don't have to be a bike expert because we provide training for our programs for you to get going in your new role!
WORK DATES:
Monday - Friday (8am - 5pm)
DC Camps - April 13-17th
MD/VA Camps - March 30th - April 3rd
LOCATIONS:
Please note, locations are subject to change.
DC - Capitol Hill, Rock Creek Park, Petworth
MD - Bethesda, Chevy Chase
VA - Alexandria, Arlington
WAGE:
$18.00/hr starting wage
What you'd be responsible for:
In addition to sharing your ideas on how we can grow, learn and build, in this role, you'll also be:
Teaching our daily Pedalheads camp programs for children ages 2-12 years
Actively introduce children new bike skills
Ensure the health and safety of children at camp
Act as a positive role model and leader at all times
Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress
Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
Here are some of the skills / specifics that are important for this role:
You will be at least 16 years of age by the start of camp
Comfortable leading a group of up to 6 children (training provided)
Committed to keeping our campers safe
You are energetic, creative, motivated and fun
Hold or willing to get a current Standard First Aid with CPR certificate
Criminal record check required for ages 18+
You have access to a bike and helmet and can ride a bike proficiently

The Kids Instructor provides best-in-class, educational/fitness-minded programming for our children. They organize, instruct and implement safe, fun and entertaining activities and games for children between the ages of three months to 11 years in the Kids Academy. Kids Instructors may also host parties and other events.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
* Greets, acknowledges, and interacts with members and guests in a friendly and professional manner
* Fosters children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development by instructing organized activities in accordance with the Kids Academy Schedule
* Prepares and sets up for class and transfers kids to and from programming
* Maintains records of children's attendance, development, and incidents.
* Monitors and interacts with children to maintain a safe and healthy environment with respect to the toys, sports equipment, other children, and surroundings
* Utilizes positive behavior management techniques and communicates clearly with parents and team members
* Promotes all Junior programming to increase participation in all Kids & Aquatics programming
* Maintains the Kids Academy and other program areas by following the cleaning checklist and performing assigned tasks. Restocks supplies after each class
* Handles incidents and emergencies in a calm and professional manner
Position Requirements
* Less than a High School Diploma or GED
* Completion of all Kids On-Demand Required Learnings prior to first day of work
* First Aid certification, Infant/Child and Adult CPR/AED certification required within the first 60 days of hire
Preferred Requirements

Pay
This is an hourly position with wages starting at $17.25 and pays up to $21.50, based on experience and qualifications.

SUMMARY:
The Department of Computer Science at Washington Adventist University is seeking a full time faculty to provide instruction and work for the growth of its computer science program The anticipated start date is July 1, 2022.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
Teach lectures and laboratories for majors and non-majors in computer
courses.
Teach pertinent course content using lectures, demonstrations, class discussion, and other appropriate modes of educational delivery that promote educational and learning processes.
Prepare course outline and syllabus, develop course and lesson plans, and engage in the selection of textbook and other teaching aids necessary to the instruction of courses.
Supervise and maintain laboratories and equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's Degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
Ability to integrate technology into content delivery and assessment techniques.
Ability to communicate and work with a diverse population of students both in and outside the classroom.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Prior college or university teaching experience preferred.
