The Department of Computer Science and Information Security at Southern Utah University invites applications for adjunct faculty to teach computer science courses in the department. The preferred

candidate holds a Master's degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science or closely related field. Graduate students with teaching experience or strong desire to teach are encouraged to apply.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Primary responsibilities include teaching undergraduate Computer Science courses for both majors and non-majors, use of effective teaching strategies, curriculum development, and support for the continuance
of our accreditation efforts. Adjunct faculty are generally expected to teach face to face courses. Knowledge in Cybersecurity and/or Information Technology is a plus as there may also be opportunities to
teach in these areas as well.


Education and Experience Requirements:
1. Master's degree or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science or an appropriate discipline within the broad scope
of Computer Science.
2. Commitment to quality teaching.
3. Good communication skills and the ability to interact positively with faculty, staff, and students.

Qualifications:
Minimum: Masters in Business Administration or Masters in Finance or Masters in Financial Economics. Graduate degree must be from a regional accredited university.

Adjunct Faculty, College of Education, School of Special Education and Literacy

Undergraduate - to teach undergraduate Special Education courses in-person at the Union campus. Availability to teach prior to 3pm a plus. Openings are available for the fall and spring semesters.

Graduate - to teach graduate Special Education courses in-person at the Union campus. Classes are scheduled at 4:30pm and 7:30PM, Monday through Thursday. Classes meet once a week for 3 hours. Openings are available for the fall and spring semesters.

Graduate Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) - to teach Verified Course Sequence (VCS) ABA courses in-person at the Union campus. Applicants must hold a BCBA or BCBA-D. Classes are scheduled at 4:30pm and 7:30PM, Monday through Thursday. Classes meet once a week for 3 hours. Openings are available for the fall and spring semesters.

Graduate Licensed Disabilities Teacher Consultant (LDTC) - to teach LDTC graduate Special Education courses in-person at the Union campus. Applicants must hold an LDTC. Classes are scheduled at 4:30pm and 7:30PM, Monday through Thursday. Classes meet once a week for 3 hours. Openings are available for the fall and spring semesters.

All adjunct positions require a Master's degree in a related field and teaching experience unless otherwise indicated; candidates with an ABD, Ed.D., Ph.D. or other acceptable disciplinary doctorate are encouraged to apply. Proficiency in a Learning Management System (LMS), such as Blackboard or Canvas and Online Learning Pedagogy is required of all adjuncts, consistent with University guidelines. Kean may offer free voluntary LMS workshops to otherwise qualified applicants.

Please submit a cover letter (indicating availability for days, evenings or weekends), resume and contact information for three professional references. Review of applications will begin immediately and be on-going. Official transcripts are required before appointment.
