Fairbanks School of Public Health: The Fairbanks School is a comprehensive and Council on Education for Public Health accredited school of public health with 72 faculty in the Departments of Health Policy & Management, Biostatistics & Health Data Science, Epidemiology, and Community & Global Health. The faculty's research is supported by numerous grants from government agencies, private foundations, and private industry including: the NIH , the Health Resources & Services Administration, the Indiana Department of Health, the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration, and Eli Lilly. The Fairbanks School is home to PhD programs in Health Policy and Management, Epidemiology, and Biostatistics. Across these programs, the School offers pre-doctoral and post-doctoral training in public and population health informatics with funding from a T15 from the NIH National Library of Medicine. The School is home to three Centers. The Center for Health Policy ( CPH ) serves as the research hub of the Department of Health Policy and Management with the mission of generating evidence to inform decision making at local, state, and national levels. Faculty and staff conduct rigorous research and evaluation on health system performance, and health policy issues, with a specific focus on population health and analytics, substance abuse and mental health services, and public health systems & services research. The Center for Public Health Practice ( CPHP ) supports public health organizations by connecting public health practitioners to subject matter experts who provide public health evaluations, analyses, assessments, program planning, and community-centered learning opportunities. CPHP integrates students into public health work with internship, volunteer, and employment opportunities. The IUI ECHO Center (Extension for Community Health Outcomes), in partnership with interdisciplinary teams of medical specialists, uses technology to facilitate mentoring and knowledge sharing, thus enabling clinicians practicing across the state and nation to provide best-practice care. About the IU Indianapolis School of Science : The IU Indianapolis School of Science is a hub for scientific research and education, offering a range of undergraduate and graduate (MS and PhD) programs across disciplines including biology, chemistry, earth and environmental sciences, forensic and investigational sciences, mathematics, neuroscience, physics, and psychology.
