Job Description
Shape the next generation of healthcare providers through high-quality nursing education in classroom, online, and clinical settings, including through flexible evening and weekend classes. This role includes teaching, student evaluation, professional mentoring, committee participation, and engagement in service and scholarship activities aligned with Chamberlain's mission.

Position Overview
Teach assigned nursing courses (e.g.: classroom, online, clinical, lab, simulation), creating engaging learning experiences, using technology and evidence-based methods.

Evaluate student performance; provide feedback and remediation as needed.

Courses meet once or twice a week for eight weeks.

Faculty are responsible for facilitating student learning by teaching educational courses and programs in accordance with DeVry University requirements.
Faculty develop course syllabi and lesson plans and apply teaching techniques to best achieve course and programmatic objectives.
All DeVry instructors will participate in a comprehensive faculty training program and ongoing faculty development activities to ensure the highest quality instruction.

Responsibilities:
Develops and provides students with an approved DeVry University syllabus that follows a template established by the local campus, and which includes the terminal course objectives.
Organizes, prepares, and regularly revises and update all course materials.
Uses appropriate technological options for online technologies and course-related software, including Websites, e-mail, and online discussions for preparing the course and making it accessible to students.
Models effective oral and written communications that engage the students, provide clarity, and improve student learning.
Sets clear expectations for the course by publishing course terminal objectives, assignment/examinations dates, and weight the distribution of various evaluation categories.
Ensures that the content and level of material included on exams correspond to the course terminal objectives.
Demonstrates consistency and fairness in the preparation and grading of exams, and provide timely feedback to students.
Completes other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Pay: Visiting Professor pay is based on degree, credit hours taught per 8-week session, and location.
Pay may vary in most states from $1500-$2700 per 8-week session
Pay in the states of AZ, CA, IN and PA is paid at an hourly rate of either $22.00/hour or $23.50/hour
As a Consult-Liaison Psychiatrist, Employee provides clinical care either directly or through supervision of residents/fellows in the hospital settings. Employee may deliver clinical care and supervision of clinical care to patients within their scop of practice and licensure within regulatory and/or accrediting guidelines. The employee also provides clinical teaching, didactic teaching, and administrative duties as defined by the role.

Qualifications
* MD or DO with current licensure to practice medicine in the state of Nevada.
* Board certification in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN).
* Additional board certification or fellowship training in Addiction Medicine or Addiction Psychiatry is preferred.
* Minimum of three years of post-residency clinical experience, including experience in emergency psychiatry, crisis care, or community psychiatry.

Job Description
Nevada State University invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Psychology. We seek candidates who are passionate about fostering student success among a highly diverse undergraduate student population and will have exhibited excellence in high-quality teaching at the undergraduate level, including involving undergraduates in research.
Faculty teach 24 credits per academic year (4 courses per semester) in which half of the faculty's instructional load is dedicated to core courses in the psychology curriculum. See qualifications below for more detail.
About Psychology & Counseling at Nevada State:
The Psychology & Counseling Department offers a bachelor of arts in psychology and a minor in counseling that is focused on substance abuse and addiction treatment. Students who major in psychology begin their coursework in the General BA degree, but have the option of choosing one of three specializations: Clinical and Mental Health, Developmental, or Intergroup Dynamics and Social Equity. We are dedicated to providing students with rigorous academic preparation in the science of psychology, requiring all majors to complete one of three capstone courses. This preparation emphasizes an empirical approach to the study of psychology with a concerted focus on the use of research methodology and evidence-based strategies to better understand and solve problems. Ultimately, our program aims to cultivate well-rounded students with the knowledge, critical thinking skills, and lifelong learning skills needed to succeed in the workplace and/or in graduate school. You will join a program of seven full-time faculty whose areas of expertise span clinical, counseling, neuroscience, health, social, personality, and developmental/educational psychology. Faculty are provided with supported professional development opportunities to strengthen their teaching and scholarship. In addition, the department has a shared research lab space that includes spaces for interviews/single participant studies, group studies, observational research using a one-way mirror and/or built-in cameras, and research assistant workspaces. Primary Responsibilities:
* Teach lower- and upper-level courses in psychology and/or counseling in a variety of formats (e.g., in-person, hybrid, online).
* Teach 24 credits per academic year, which amounts to four courses per semester.
* Approximately half of this instructional load will be dedicated to core courses in the psychology curriculum.
* Advise majors/minors.
* Serve on departmental and college-wide committees.
* Engage in scholarly activity within your discipline or in the scholarship of teaching and learning.
Required Qualifications:
* Ph.D. in Psychology or a related field (Candidates who are ABD are eligible with the expectation that the Ph.D. will be completed by July 31, 2026).
* Demonstrated excellence in teaching and a genuine interest in joining Nevada State University.
* Demonstrated dedication to or interest in working with a diverse student population.
* Ability to teach core courses which include:
* Introductory Psychology
* Statistics and/or Research Methods
* Capstone course (PSY 375 or PSY 490)

Check track for rocks and ensure track is watered and kept at suitable conditions
Assist with briefing customers for their experience on how to drive the trucks and coach them during their experience
Drive trucks for guest ridealong experiences when needed
Upsell guests to purchase additional driving experiences with same and different cars and trucks
At the end of the day pull and fuel vehicles, clean trucks practicing enhanced disinfecting techniques and Raptors (inside and outside) and then park in their appropriate spot
When Briefing
Show briefing video to guests as needed
Follow provided briefing script and informs guests of track layout, driving technique, passing, speed limits
Answer and discuss any guest concerns regarding the safety of the track and cars and trucks
Ensure each guest initials, signs and dates each Acknowledgement Form before having a driving experience
Stock all necessary supplies for Briefing Room including waivers, pens, clipboards, etc.
Practice enhanced disinfecting to include washing hands, cleaning seats, chairs, reading, clipboards and pens
