Job Summary:
The Department of Neurology at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a full-time Visiting Associate Professor (GFT) / Director of Interventional Neuroradiology. The successful candidate will:
Serve as Attending Physician and Director of Interventional Neuroradiology.
Conduct 2-weeks/month INR including 24/7 call.
2 weeks/75-hours/month diagnostic neuroradiology.
Perform the following procedures:
Neurointerventional: aneurysm treatment (coiling, flow diversion, flow disruption), stroke thrombectomy, DAVF, AVM, MMA and tumor embolization, spinal vascular and pediatrics vascular disease embolization, spine and neck biopsy/cryoablation, vertebral augmentation, pain ablation, CSF lead procedures/blood patching, intrathecal drug delivery.
Neuroradiology: CT, MRI, fMRI, DTI, MEG, VWI, brachial neurography, fetal MR, CSF flow studies, phase-contrast MR, ASL/pc ASL, advanced spectroscopy, PET/MR.
Participate actively and fully in undergraduate and graduate medical education as well as participate in committees, departmental as well as university-wide.

Completion of a certified Interventional Neuroradiology Fellowship.

Qualifications: Terminal degree in Architecture or a related field is required. Preferred qualifications include: a degree field or professional experience in public health; a minimum of two years of previous teaching experience at the college level or three years of professional business practice or a leadership role in a recognized public service organization; professional registration; NCARB certification; AIA membership; and LEED AP credentials.

Compensation
The UCE-FIT Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) governs the compensation, benefits, and conditions of employment.
$87.14 per hour based on minimum qualifications. The final rate, step and appointment rank are determined by a candidate's ability to demonstrate that they meet the respective school's additional criteria for hiring "above the first step," in accordance with the CBA Adjunct Salary Schedules (pp 88-89).

Responsibilities:
Conduct the class in a professional manner, creating an effective learning environment for all students
Know the policies in the Student and Faculty Handbooks
Be prepared with all material before class begins
Know the departmental policies involved in reporting/ repairing / maintaining equipment and see that these policies are carried through
Be sure that students evaluate him/her at the end of the quarter, and that the evaluations are submitted to the Registrar without being viewed by the faculty member

Full time faculty members may teach up to 24 platform hours each week (no more than 3 preps) and perform administrative duties in the areas of Student Success, Student Persistence, Faculty Development, Externship Coordination or other areas as designated by Program chairs, Director of Education and Campus Directors to meet full time requirements.

Ability to articulate shop-based skill sets relationship to contemporary art and practice.

* The ideal candidate will have comprehensive expertise in the use of sculptural processes and tools.
* Effectively teach concepts and instruct and ensure the safely use tools and the shop.
* Ability to communicate the historical, cultural and theoretical contexts and contemporary sculptural practices through lecture and visual presentations.
* The ideal candidate must have the ability to write a syllabus, teach learning outcomes as listed in the course outline (provided), deliver relevant course materials with lectures and demonstrations, provide guidance, input, and assistance to students, assess student performance, and submit grades in a timely manner.
* Effectively communicate and work with shop technicians.
* Ability to instruct and ensure the safe use of tools and machinery and successfully communicate conceptual ideas for class projects through lectures and visual presentations
Additional Information:
This is a part-time position, adjunct teaching position beginning in Spring 2026. Review of applications will commence immediately and continue until the position is filled. Compensation
The UCE-FIT Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) governs the compensation, benefits, and conditions of employment.
$89.98 per hour based on minimum qualifications. The final rate, step and appointment rank are determined by a candidate's ability to demonstrate that they meet the respective school's additional criteria for hiring "above the first step," in accordance with the CBA Adjunct Salary Schedules (pg 88-89).
