Course Description
Investigation into specific facets of security in aviation. Physical and procedural controls, regulations of the Department of Homeland Security, the Transportation Security Administration, the Federal Aviation Administration and ICAO, as well as international treaties. Current threats, counter terrorism measures, new technologies in the field and the importance of the aviation industry, both passenger and cargo, to the global economy.
Please note that ERAU policy requires that all adjuncts be physically located within the United States while working for the University, including during training. Presently, we are able to support work for new adjuncts from all U.S. states except California. ERAU does not support work from international locations with some limited exceptions for individuals who are residing and working from U.S. military bases.
If selected for this role, the candidate will be required to provide proof of stated qualifications. Qualifications

Annual Security & Fire Safety Report
The federal Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act) requires colleges and universities, both public and private, participating in federal student aid programs to disclose campus safety information, and imposes certain basic requirements for handling incidents of sexual violence and emergency situations.
Florida Tech's 2025 Annual Security and Fire Safety Report includes statistics for the previous three years concerning reported crimes that occurred on campus; in certain off-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by Florida Tech; and on public property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from, the campus.
The numbers provided include crime statistics that were reported to local law enforcement agencies, campus security and other Campus Security Authorities.
The report also includes institutional policy statements regarding campus safety and security measures; descriptions of prevention and awareness programs; related university procedures and important guidance; and other essential safety information.

Official Transcripts
Official transcripts of all collegiate work must be sent directly from the attended institution to the Office of Human Resources prior to the first day of employment. All international degrees must have a course-by-course official evaluation and translation sent to the Human Resources Office directly from an evaluation company affiliated with the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services, Inc. (NACES).

The Opportunity The College of Arts and Humanities (CAH) at the University of Central Florida (UCF) invites applications for a 9-month, non-tenure earning instructor or lecturer to teach undergraduate level Japanese and Chinese courses in the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures, with an anticipated start date in August 2026.
Minimum Qualifications:
* A master's degree (for an instructor) or terminal degree (for a lecturer) in Japanese and/or Chinese or related field from an accredited institution at the time of appointment.
* Native or near-native fluency in Japanese and Chinese and a high level of English proficiency are required.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Two years of experience teaching beginner and intermediate language classes in Japanese and/or Chinese at the university or college level using various teaching modalities (i.e., online, mixed-mode, and face-to-face courses).
