Job Summary The Assistant Professor of Management will deliver high-quality instruction in Management, and general business topics to undergraduate and graduate students while conducting research that meets the standards for publication in reputable academic journals. Additionally, the Assistant Professor will fulfill service responsibilities to the College and Savannah State University by participating in college and university committees, contributing to curriculum development, supporting student recruitment and retention efforts, mentoring students, and engaging in activities that enhance the institution's academic and professional reputation. Responsibilities This is a 10-month tenure-track position that reports directly to the Associate Dean of the College of Business Administration. The successful candidate will be required to: * Deliver high-quality instruction in general business, finance, and economics through both in-person and online teaching formats. * Conduct impactful and rigorous research that aligns with the academic standards of the college and results in publications in reputable, peer-reviewed journals. * Actively mentor and support students by holding regular office hours to provide academic guidance, address questions, and foster meaningful engagement beyond the classroom. * Assist students in achieving their educational and career goals by offering guidance, mentorship, and resources to help them succeed academically and professionally. * Contribute to professional and community service efforts at the college and university level. This includes participating in committees, supporting institutional initiatives, and engaging in activities that strengthen the academic reputation and community impact of Savannah State University. * Review, evaluate, and recommend student learning materials and evaluate students to measure their progress in achieving institutional and course goals * Foster environments that reflect ethical behavior and respect. * Participate in student recruitment and retention activities. * Attend convocations, commencement exercises, recruitment activities, and community meetings, as well as actively collaborate and support student success through involvement in events and clubs. Required Qualifications * A Doctoral Degree in Management or equivalent from an AACSB-accredited or internationally recognized research institution is required.
