JOB SUMMARY The Lab Teaching Assistant (TA) provides instructional support to faculty and students in a laboratory setting.     TITLE: Instructor - Adjunct Faculty DEPARTMENT: Radiologic Technology Program - JOB CODE: ADJI REPORTS TO: Program Director DLSE STATUS: Exempt The Radiologic Technology Instructor is primarily responsible for providing quality didactic instruction to students. The instructor ensures the effective delivery of classroom education, supervision, evaluation, and assessment of students assigned to various courses. Qualifications/Requirements: EDUCATION: Minimum BA/BS degree from an accredited institution in a health-related discipline, master's degree in related field preferred. EXPERIENCE: Minimum two years' experience working as a technologist. Knowledge of current clinical and theoretical aspects of Radiologic Technology. Qualified through academic preparation and experience. Knowledge of curriculum design, outcomes assessment, instruction, program administration, and counseling. The Fall term begins in the late August and ends in mid-December; the Spring term runs from the middle of January through the end of May. PERFORMANCE EVALUATION Regular performance evaluations of part-time lecturers are made by the department in accord with the faculty Collective Bargaining Agreement and University Policy Statement 210.070. These performance evaluations determine which lecturers will be retained for future and continued teaching assignments. And in some instances, syllabi, assignments and reading material will be reviewed by the departmental personnel committee. APPOINTMENT AND SALARY All part-time faculty appointments are made as Lecturers, under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the CSU system and the California Faculty Association.
