This is a 9-month tenure-track position with 45% Research, 45% Extension, and 10% teaching appointment.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to cocreate a pre-eminent extension and research program on seafood quality, safety, engineering, and security in seafood and related products. This position will assist fisheries professionals, processors, wholesalers, and retail establishments to improve product quality, safety, nutritional aspects, and value; And serve as a key resource for national food safety/security efforts and regulatory requirements under the USDA's Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA). Instructors are required to:

The Role
Plans, develops, coordinates and facilitates instructional courses and related training material required by NAVSEA in support of radiological controls, radiation worker and nuclear skills training programs. Analyzes training needs identified by contract.
Primary role will be as a dedicated embedded deckplate instructor. Will provide deckplate development and instruction to encourage RCT proficiency across various platforms. Will coach and mentor RCTs through role as an embedded instructor on the waterfront. Will facilitate training to support the initial qualification of RCT trainees, as well as provide radiological expertise for all RCTs in various capacities as required. Will foster learning for the organization through administration of the radiological casualty training programs.

This is a part-time (29 hours per week) position that will work under the supervision of the school principal and the Office of Elementary English. The VALLSS Instructor is responsible for implementing early literacy intervention instruction for students. As determined by identified student needs, this individual will be assigned to work with multiple small groups of students. Ongoing professional development will be an integral part of this position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Assist in the administration of the VALLSS Screener as determined by the Office of Elementary English, three times per year, and assist with the interpretation of results of the VALLSS Screener.
