General Description
Highly qualified candidates are required for the Department of Artificial Intelligence in the College of Computer Engineering and Science at Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd University. Qualifications & Experience (Required)
· A Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence or Computer related field with a main focus on AI from an accredited, reputable Western university. A Master's degree with good teaching experience in the field of AI may be considered especially in teaching undergraduate courses and laboratory modules.
· Candidates should have a minimum 2-3 years teaching experience after the terminal degree with good research experience related to AI, including publications in international Journals and Conferences.
· Industrial experience is a Plus.
· Candidates are expected to have excellent command of the English Language.
· Candidates should be familiar with technology infused academic environments.
· Previous experience in the Middle East or GCC countries is a plus.

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT: The AES Department is co-located with the UAH ESSC, NASA MSFC Earth Science Division, and the National Weather Service, enabling undergraduate and graduate students to receive a unique collaborative research and education experience. Within Cramer Research Hall, multiple NASA Earth Science programs drive research that engage students and employ dozens of university scientists. In addition, mobile radar and atmospheric profiling systems within the Severe Weather Institute Radar & Lightning Laboratory (SWIRLL) are available as research assets. In addition to atmospheric science research, a cross-cutting theme of the AES Department is the development and application of geospatial analytical methods and remote sensing technology to Atmospheric and Earth Science disciplines. These include land use/land cover change, severe weather, climate, human adaptation, lightning instrumentation, numerical modeling and data assimilation, satellite remote sensing, air pollution, atmospheric chemistry, urban studies, natural disasters, and environmental policy and decision-making. The AES Department currently has an undergraduate (B.S.) program in Atmospheric & Earth Science (AES), with concentrations in Atmospheric Science (ATS) and Earth System Science (ESS), an M.S. AES program (in ATS and ESS), and an ATS Ph.D. program. The AES Department has 15 full-time faculty, over 20 affiliate faculty, and an average of 40-45 graduate and 90-95 undergraduate students.
