This position is responsible for planning and delivering high quality curriculum that aligns with the theme and the goal of the camp, ensures the safety of all campers in their care, and supports the mission of the Zoo. Essential Job Functions: Work directly with children. Responsible for the safety and well-being of campers. Actively contribute to positive guest experiences. Deliver STEM-filled, educational programs to summer campers. Develop curriculum for each camp. Introduce program participants to a variety of species. Under the general direction and supervision of the Division Dean/Associate Dean and the Program Chair of the Building Construction Technology Program, the Adjunct Instructor is responsible for providing regular instruction, developing and updating the courses taught in a classroom/laboratory, Internet, and or distance-learning environment. This is a part-time temporary position. Essential Functions Marginal Functions Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Minimum Qualifications * Associate degree in Building Construction Technology.* * Two(2)years of on-the-job/hands-on experience in residential and/or light commercial building construction and framing, concrete and masonry construction as well as manual drafting, CAD drafting, estimating, cabinet construction and installation, and blueprint reading.* * A 4-year Skilled and Technical Sciences degree may substitute for the degree/experience requirement.
