Assistant/Associate Professor of Human Relations Administration Human Development and Family Sciences (HDFS) in the College of Education and Human Development at the University of Delaware invites applications for a continuing-track faculty position in human relations administration to begin Fall 2026 at the rank of assistant or associate professor. This is a full-time, non-tenure track, nine-month academic year position.
As a continuing-track faculty member, the successful candidate will teach undergraduate-level courses and can take on leadership responsibilities at the department, college, and university levels. Qualifications and Responsibilities.
* A doctorate in human resource development, workforce education & development, industrial/organizational psychology, industrial and labor relations, or a related field is required.
* We seek candidates with experience or interest in teaching topics such as human capital development, work/life balance, employee and organizational development, inclusive workplaces, labor relations, ethics, and/or organizational culture.
* Preference will be given to candidates with industry, program management, and/or teaching experience.

Continuing Track at UD. About the College of Education and Human Development and the Department of Human Development and Family Sciences. The College of Education and Human Development is dedicated to addressing the problems that confront our communities, schools, and organizations, and to developing solutions to the challenges faced by children, youth, families, and employees around the world. The College supports numerous research-practice-policy partnerships and collaborations with human service organizations, early care providers, schools, and school districts. The HDFS department has 23 full time faculty, and houses nearly 450 undergraduate students across three majors (Human Relations Administration, Human Services, and Early Childhood Education) and two minors (Human Development & Family Sciences and Medical Social Services). The Department also supports several graduate programs at both the master's and doctoral levels. Departmental faculty are engaged in research activities that span child and youth development, early childhood & early intervention, family services and policy, and social determinants of health. DDA currently has a limited number of driving instructor positions available. Ideal candidates are those who enjoy helping people, especially young people, and believe they have what it takes to become that next great driving instructor, or "DDA Coach." Of course, teaching, coaching, instructing, law enforcement, truck driving, license testing, CDL, fleet, or driving instructor experience of any kind is great, but only a great personality and strong desire to mentor young drivers is required.

DRIVING INSTRUCTOR - This position requires the ability to communicate, correct and connect. We provide fully insured driving school cars with dual braking and gas. The best driving instructors truly enjoy teaching, and possess the ability to remain firm with parents who sometimes forget our rules and guidelines. Part-time instructors can create their own schedule, or choose to earn a higher rate by allowing us to schedule their hours. The demand for DDA instruction is very high, and we're always booked out 3-4 weeks, so driving instructors can increase their hours at any time. Exceptional instructors will ultimately be eligible to advance into other administrative positions, become supervisors, license testers, or management as our company continues to grow and expand.
