PROGRAM OPERATION:
Perform all instructional duties necessary to teach and facilitate student learning in assigned classes.

Maintain student attendance and grading records according to College policy as outlined in the Adjunct Handbook.
Submits requested information within established timelines.
STUDENTS:
Is available to students outside scheduled class time to answer questions/provide assistance.
Deal with student concerns and, if necessary, consult with program coordinator to resolve issues.
INSTRUCTION:
Meet all scheduled classes of contracted course(s). Use technology such as Blackboard, PowerPoint, etc. as appropriate.
In event of emergency absence, notifies program/department chair.
Conduct all activities with an appreciation and respect for diversity of people, styles, and views. Promote same as an integral part of one's work.

Hiring Range:
$45.00 per contact hour (approximately $2,160 per 8-week course).
Work Hours:
Adjunct Faculty positions typically begin at the start of semesters or the midpoint: January, March, August, or October.. Specific hours will depend on classes assigned but may include evenings.

Duties/Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
Teach undergraduate courses in health administration and community health, with a clear emphasis on health administration.
Maintain an active program of research and scholarly activity in health administration, health care systems, or other relevant health-related fields.
Provide academic advising and mentorship that supports student success and professional development in health administration.
Contribute meaningful service to the University, the profession, and the broader community.
Required Knowledge and Skills
Earned doctorate in a health-related field. Candidates in the process of completing a doctoral degree will be considered. The successful candidate must possess a doctoral degree by the start date of employment.
Demonstrated interest, experience, or scholarship in health administration.
Evidence of effective team-oriented collaboration.
Ongoing commitment to teaching, scholarship, and service.

The Exercise Science Program is CAAHEP-CoAES accredited. Earned doctorate in Biomechanics, Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or closely related field.
