    As a part of diverse community of faculty and staff who represent many faith systems and worldviews, the Department of Psychological Sciences and Counseling seeks qualified applicants for the position of full-time, Assistant Professor of Counseling who will promote our Catholic Franciscan mission and identity by teaching graduate level courses in mental health counseling and school counseling within the department with an open area of expertise including but not limited to community mental health, marriage and family therapy, child and adolescent therapy, and school counseling. This position reports to the Director of Counseling and the Dean of Arts and Sciences. This is a tenure track appointment. The Department of Psychological Science and Counseling has both Bachelors of Science and Bachelors of Arts degrees in Psychological Science, as well as Masters of Science degrees in Mental Health Counseling and School Counseling. There are currently approximately 80 majors and 175 minors in Psychological Science, and in Counseling there are 20 in Mental Health Counseling and 20 in School Counseling. Medical Assistant Instructor duties include: Teach in the Medical Assisting classroom with a maximum of 24 students, covering clinical and administrative skills. Class sessions are 4.5 hours in either day or evening sessions. Learning the material and delivering lectures and demonstrations, working from the Ross lesson plans and curriculum. This is a part-time position, typically 9-27 hours per week.
