    The College of Business and Economics (COBE) at Boise State University invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track MBA Programs, Assistant Teaching Professor (9-month) faculty position beginning August 2026. This role carries salary and promotion opportunities, including advancement to associate and full professor ranks. In this position, you will teach a 3-3 course load, conduct peer-reviewed research to maintain Scholarly Academic status for AACSB accreditation, and engage in departmental and college service. Additional summer teaching opportunities or competitive summer research funding possibilities are available. Our college offers six distinct Master of Business Administration (MBA) Programs - Career Track MBA, MBA - Analytics, Professional MBA, Professional/JD MBA, Online MBA, and Executive MBA. These programs are designed to prepare students for strategic business leadership and collaborative decision-making. Curriculum is tailored in each program to provide a relevant, applicable education for students at every level of their career. Over the past ten years, our MBA programs have grown substantially across both online and in-person populations. The capstone course experience plays a critical role in each of these programs. For every MBA student, the culminating capstone course integrates prior course learning and provides the opportunity to solve strategic challenges. Successful coaching and engagement with the students in these capstone courses is essential. The MBA Programs Assistant Teaching Professor will work directly with the MBA program directors regarding MBA curriculum integration, especially in capstone courses. This Professor will teach in capstone and/or other courses for the Career Track, Professional, and/or Online MBA programs. For annual review and promotion purposes, this Professor will be housed within an academic department. Duties and Responsibilities: Teaching (60%): Teaching load is 2-4 or 3-3, depending upon specific program needs. Teaching load would be primarily graduate-level (MBA) courses. Service and Administrative Responsibilities (20%): Coordinate the MBA program assessment process and deliverables, including AACSB Accreditation and university assurance of learning. Work collaboratively with program directors and faculty to collect, analyze, and distribute assessment data via an annual report. Assist with the facilitation of the MBA program's continuous improvement process. This process assures that programs are meeting student learning goals and outcomes through curriculum changes/additions/improvements. Work with MBA Program Directors to propose changes as needed to operations, marketing, and/or curriculum for MBA program improvements. Support MBA program quality improvement efforts (e.g., faculty professional and teaching development, workshops, committee participation, student recruitment, and marketing). Work with other COBE leaders, create and foster relationships with the local business community on behalf of COBE and the MBA Programs. Collaborate with stakeholders to source and execute capstone consultancy projects and explore potential for student internships and other collaborative opportunities. Scholarly and Professional Activity (20%) Consistent with AACSB requirements, the successful candidate will demonstrate a record of or potential to: Produce scholarly intellectual contributions in peer-reviewed journals sufficient to remain scholarly active as defined by AACSB and COBE policies Engage with professional associations and industry partners that enhance scholarship, classroom practice, and community impact. Remain current and identify emerging trends in areas relevant to graduate business programs.
