ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Teach online and/or face-to-face classes in General Education (Languages, History, Religion, and Philosophy) The modality of courses (online/F2F) will be determined by student needs and communicated by the Dean of the division.
Provide high quality instruction to students.
Use effective communication skills to communicate with students about assignments, content and performance and with Columbia College faculty and staff about student needs, performance and key assessments.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM WORK:
Bachelor's degree in any field; master's degree in field of study is required; doctorate is preferred.
Preference may be given to applicants with prior college teaching experience and familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Canvas.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to plan, organize and prioritize work.
