As a full-time faculty member, you will be expected to:
Prepare course syllabi, develop courses online in Brightspace, and create assessments of learning
Offer courses in a variety of different modalities, including in-person, live online/distance synchronous, as well as asynchronous
Support students in their learning and connect them to UMA resources as needed
Advise students in the major
Teach four classes each semester (fall & spring/total 24 credits), with opportunities to teach additional classes in the summer

All students at COA design their own transdisciplinary degree within our single major of human ecology. Some students pursue careers in education; most will use educational studies to prepare for a range of other post-graduation trajectories, such as the arts, business, counseling, environmental sciences, healthcare, food systems, law and policy, research, and social work, among other occupations. The college seeks candidates who can inspire students to explore innovative approaches to teaching and learning within and beyond traditional classroom settings. Ideal candidates will be eager to collaborate across disciplines to support students and to teach educational studies courses that engage learners involved in inter- and transdisciplinary projects. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong potential for excellence and innovation in teaching, including the ability to effectively reach underserved student populations and support learning in linguistically diverse classrooms. COA offers teacher certification programs in pre-K-12 art, elementary education, secondary life science, secondary social studies, and secondary English. COA's teacher education certifications are soon up for program review; the successful candidate will work as a member of a team of academic deans and faculty on the program review and to evaluate the place of teacher certification in the curriculum.
The successful candidate will be expected to build and maintain strong relationships with local schools and liaise with the district schools, State of Maine, and other educational entities within the community (e.g., Montessori and Waldorf schools, historical societies, after school and summer programs). They should also expect to serve as a resource on innovative and equitable teaching practices for their faculty colleagues.
COA is an interdisciplinary college of approximately 350 students and 35 faculty. The average class size is 13. Our educational approach integrates knowledge from all academic disciplines and seeks to understand and improve the relationships between humans and their built, natural, and social-cultural environments. Faculty teach five courses a year distributed across three 10-week terms; faculty also advise students, direct independent studies and senior projects, and contribute to the shared governance of the college. Twenty-four percent of our students are international. Of our US students, roughly one in six are first-generation college students and about 40% are low-income (eligible for the federal Pell Grant).

What You'll Do
In this role, you will lead private lessons and group clinics for players of varying skill levels while building lasting relationships that keep members engaged and motivated. You'll help players grow their skills and confidence in a fun, safe, and positive environment. Instructors also collaborate with club leadership to promote programs, memberships, and special events, and represent The Picklr brand with professionalism, energy, and authenticity both on and off the court.
Who You Are
You are an experienced pickleball instructor with a strong understanding of fundamentals and a DUPR rating of 3.5 or higher, or an equivalent skill level. You are certified or actively pursuing certification, and you value continued learning and improvement. You enjoy connecting with players, are reliable and organized, and are comfortable using digital scheduling and coaching tools. CPR/AED certification is required, or you must be willing to obtain it.

We invite applicants for a nine-month, tenure-track position as assistant professor with expertise in issues related to restorative justice, race/ethnicity, and the criminal justice system. Candidates should be able to teach courses in the criminal justice core curriculum, including Survey of Criminal Justice, Introduction to Criminology, and Research Methods; as well as electives in criminal justice and criminology, such as Police and Society, Corrections, Criminal Courts, Race and Crime, and White-Collar Crime. Preference will be given to candidates able to teach Introduction to Sociology and Social Inequality. Quantitative expertise is strongly preferred. Our standard teaching load is 3-2. This is an in-person position.

Examples of Duties
Husson University is seeking dynamic individuals to develop and teach online courses for an exciting new certificate in Expressive Arts Therapy. Online course developers and instructors are content experts who focus on providing an elite educational experience for learners to improve their skill level and knowledge. Course developers work closely with instructional designers and leadership to define expectations throughout the course build process.
Candidates with demonstrated expertise and professional experience in the following course topics are encouraged to apply:

Typical Qualifications
An earned terminal degree in the discipline or a related field required, a doctoral degree preferred;
Prior online course design experience in higher education preferred;
Ability to effectively communicate subject matter to others;
Strong organizational and time management skills;
Commitment to providing innovative and engaging online education.

About the Opportunity
The College of Professional Studies at Northeastern University invites applications for a non-tenure track part time faculty lecturer in Construction Management.
The successful candidate will teach on-campus and/or online graduate level courses in the Master of Science in Project Management - Construction Management concentration. This position is located at the Northeastern University Portland, ME, campus.
The College of Professional Studies is one of ten colleges of Northeastern University, a nationally ranked private research university. Responsibilities
Teach graduate courses within the Construction Management concentration that is part of the MS in Project Management degree and certificate programs. Courses include (but are not limited to): Introduction to Construction Management, Alternative Project Delivery Methods, Safety, Project Risk, & Quality management, Construction Law, and/or other courses included in the curriculum.
Qualifications
Master's degree, professional certification (PMP, CCM, or similar credential), and 10+ years of industry experience at the construction/project manager level required with responsibility for managing all aspects of the project lifecycle. Experience teaching online courses desirable. Experience working with international students a plus. A history of successful teaching at the graduate level strongly preferred.

The Classics Department at Colby College has been authorized to offer a Tenure-Track position at the Assistant Professor level, beginning Fall 2026. We invite applications from candidates capable of teaching with distinction courses in ancient Greek and/or Latin at all undergraduate levels, as well as courses on material culture: art, architecture, archaeology, etc. Research specialization is open. Interdisciplinary approaches that expand the traditional boundaries of Classics or explore contacts between Greece/Rome and other cultures of the ancient world are particularly welcome. The search committee is especially interested in candidates who, through their research, teaching, advising, and/or service, will contribute to the access, opportunity, and inclusion of the campus community, and have a record of success mentoring students who come from a wide variety of backgrounds and experiences.
The teaching load is 4.5 courses per year (i.e., alternating between 4 and 5 courses from year to year).
