SUMMARY
FVCC seeks applications for adjunct instructors to teach online in the FVCC surveying program. Must be able to work collegially in a team environment. This is a temporary, non-benefits eligible position. Employment is determined on a course-by-course basis.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Provides career oriented instruction and support to students to assist them in the development and/or improvement of Industrial Machine Technology skills
Provides quality instruction by using effective lesson plan development and strategies
Fosters positive student and community relations
Maintains and submits instructional records in accordance with requirements
Integrates subject area with other related curricula
Maintains professional ethics and confidentiality of students in accordance with applicable laws and policies
Works professionally with college faculty and staff to aid with the educational process
Remains current in practices, trends and research related to areas of assignment
Attends meetings and participates in student and/or program assessment as directed
Performs other related duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum qualifications for instructors in career and technical disciplines:
Three (3) years' experience in the occupation to be taught; OR
Three (3) years of post-secondary education in the career and technical discipline, combined with work experience in the career and technical discipline.
Current Montana Licensed Professional Land Surveyors (PLS) or obtain Montana PLS within eight (8 months) of employment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience teaching in a secondary, post-secondary or higher education environment.
Experience using online learning management systems.
Experience in differentiated instruction for diverse student populations.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Ability to effectively and safely teach content and technical material

Job Summary:
The Workshop Instructor is responsible for providing instruction to students seeking licensure as a limited permit holder of X-ray in Montana and the surrounding areas.
The Basic X-Ray Techniques Workshop is a 104-hour course consisting of self-guided study and in-person training over 8 days at the RiverStone Health Main Campus. The Workshop Instructor will teach portions of the workshop as part of a team of instructors. The 8-day workshop takes place twice per year (Spring/Fall) and instruction time totals approximately 70 hours, which is divided amongst the team of instructors.
Any offer is contingent on approval by the Montana Board of Radiologic Technologists to teach the course. For approval, candidates will need to submit a brief biography, resume, licensing information, and any other information requested by the Montana Board of Radiologic Technologists.
This position is classified as Casual status, which does not qualify for benefits and is paid per the terms of the employment agreement.
Essential Functions/Major Duties and Responsibilities:
A. Course Instruction 85%
* Provide instruction for up to 24 students on assigned days as determined, using provided course materials, agenda, topics, and resources approved by the State of Montana, AART, and the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT).

To be successful as a Driving Instructor, you should maintain excellent communication with students at all times. Ultimately, a top-notch Driving Instructor will tailor their instruction to meet the needs of students, while still meeting targets set by the Drivier's Education Instructor.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Preparing lessons that are tailored to students' needs.
Providing instruction on the parts and functions of a vehicle, and on-road regulations.
Teaching practical skills related to all aspects of driving.
Helping students to develop confidences in their driving skills.
Gaining control of the vehicle during emergency situations.
Calming students who are in distress.
Documenting and reporting on students' progress.
Informing students when they are ready to take the driver's test.
Reporting all accidents to the Class Room Driving Instructor.
REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driving license for the level at which you will be teaching.

Proven experience as a Driving Instructor.
Clear driving record.
Clear criminal record. (Federal background check required) May be completed at District Office on Tuesday's and Wednesday's between 8:00 am - 1:00 pm by appointment - $30.00/we may take any form of payment)

Patience and enthusiasm.
Ability to remain calm under preessure.
Ability to work during evenings and on weekends, as required.
