Models effective oral and written communications that engage the students, provide clarity, and improve student learning. Sets clear expectations for the course by publishing course terminal objectives, assignment/examinations dates, and weight the distribution of various evaluation categories. Ensures that the content and level of material included on exams correspond to the course terminal objectives. Demonstrates consistency and fairness in the preparation and grading of exams, and provide timely feedback to students. Completes other duties as assigned. Hawai'i Pacific University (HPU) is a private, non-profit institution and the largest private university with its core campus in the heart of Honolulu's business district. Hawai`i Pacific University, College of Health and Society is seeking candidates who are licensed physical therapists for adjunct faculty positions for its developing hybrid Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program in Las Vegas, NV. These positions will start as early as January 2025 with the expected launch of the DPT program. Individuals with expertise across all areas of physical therapist practice areas will be considered. This accelerated two-year DPT program is a blend of online and on-campus activities which allows adjunct faculty members to live remote to the HPU Las Vegas site. However, DPT adjunct faculty members must be able to travel and stay in Las Vegas during the duration of the labs assigned. On-site labs are blocked by course and range from 3-6 days in length. Primary Duties & Responsibilities Provide racing instruction and one-on-one coaching as a passenger to students/customers; Instruct students/customers to safely maneuver race car through the course, around the track at an accelerated rate of speed; the instructor must remain acutely aware of track conditions at all times.
