The Department of Dermatology at the University of Utah Spencer Fox Eccles School of Medicine invites applications for a new tenure-track faculty position at any academic rank. We seek outstanding candidates pursuing innovative research in any area relevant to dermatology, including but not limited to: Cutaneous oncology, skin microbiome and host interactions, inflammatory skin diseases, wound healing and tissue regeneration, genetic and rare skin disorders, skin aging and photobiology, and artificial intelligence and digital health in dermatology.
Applicants should demonstrate a strong record of scholarly achievement and extramural funding appropriate to their career stage. The successful candidate will be expected to develop and maintain a robust, independent research program that complements and enhances existing departmental and institutional strengths. The Department offers a highly collaborative and interdisciplinary environment, with access to state-of-the-art core facilities, clinical research infrastructure, strong institutional support for translational and team science, and the opportunity to collaborate with clinicians and scientists in the Melanoma Center at the Huntsman Cancer Institute. Idaho State University invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science. The appointment will begin in the Fall 2026 semester and is renewable for up to three years. The department is seeking a candidate with the ability to contribute broadly to its undergraduate and three graduate programs (DA, MA, and MPA), with a specific emphasis on candidates with expertise in American Politics, covering institutions and behaviors. Position Summary:
Adjunct faculty members teach contracted classes in accordance with established policies and guidelines. To reach a broad range of students, CWI encourages exploring alternative teaching styles and methods. Courses will be taught in traditional classroom settings, in computer-mediated classrooms, and over the internet.
This position includes classes taught in the mornings/afternoons/evenings/weekends and when necessary, at any CWI campus. The availability of classes varies depending on the semester.
Essential Functions:
• Teaches contracted credit load of courses in accordance with the descriptions published in the CWI catalog
• Utilizes outcomes assessment measures
• Participates in instructional evaluation processes
• Meets all scheduled classes with any deviation being filed promptly and accurately through the appropriate channels
• Monitors student placement in courses and student progress; maintains accurate records
• Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
• Master's degree in the discipline or related field of study
• Experience teaching field of study at the post-secondary level, 3 years preferred
• Experience teaching at a community college or with adult learners preferred
• Experience using Canvas and/or MyMathLab preferred
