The Center for Economics, Politics & History (CEPH) offers undergraduates a rigorous, interdisciplinary education in the social sciences. Our curriculum emphasizes empirical analysis, economic growth, and the role of ideas and institutions in shaping public life. CEPH scholars study the Enlightenment principles behind the U.S. Constitution as well as the modern economic and technological forces that underpin American power, combining historical, political, and economic perspectives to understand the past century and beyond. Review of applications will begin September 2025 and continue until the position is filled. Responsibilities Teach a two-course American history sequence: Colonial Era through the Civil War and Reconstruction through the Cold War.
