Minimum qualifications:
The minimum education requirement for this position is a Ph.D. in Management Science, Operations Management, Operations Research, or a closely related discipline. (ABD status considered, however, terminal degree is required at the time of hire)
Successful candidates will have demonstrated teaching excellence, a publication record appropriate to their experience level, and the potential to establish a research program that produces original, peer-reviewed work.
Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with departmental colleagues and contribute to a diverse campus community are essential.
Desired/preferred qualifications:
Preference will be given to applicants with the ability to teach at both undergraduate and graduate levels, along with research experience in Operations and Supply Chain Management.
Ideal candidates will have expertise in courses such as Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Purchasing and Procurement, and Supply Chain Analytics, as well as proficiency in applied learning and current technologies relevant to these fields.
Additionally, applicants who can demonstrate intercultural competence with diverse groups in teaching, research, and service are strongly preferred.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be well-qualified to teach both undergraduate and graduate level courses in Operations and Supply Chain Management and Business Analytics areas, contribute to the development and enhancement of the Global Supply Chain Management Option of the Business Administration and the Master of Science in Supply Chain Analytics (MSSCA) curriculums, and develop new courses as needed, such as Foundations of Supply Chain Analytics, Artificial Intelligence in Operations Management, Big Data in Supply Chain, and Sustainable Operations and Supply Chain Management. The candidate should also be able to teach analytical programming skills and technologies relevant to operations and supply chain, including spreadsheet automation, R, Python, and other related technologies. In research, the candidate is expected to sustain quality scholarship by publishing in peer-reviewed journals. In service, the candidate will actively engage in identifying and pursuing opportunities to support the department, college, university, and professional community.

Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $12,000 - $12,594 per month
CSU Classification Salary Range: $6,221- $13,224 per month

About the Real Estate Program
The Real Estate program at USD was established in the early 1990s and has since evolved into a dynamic and highly regarded program. We offer a Master of Science in Real Estate (MSRE) degree, along with both a major and a minor in real estate at the undergraduate level. Graduate students also have the option to pursue dual degrees, including the MBA/MSRE and JD/MSRE. Required Education and Experience:
Terminal degree in Entrepreneurship, Innovation, Business Administration, or a related field from an accredited institution of higher learning.
3 years of prior teaching experience in innovation management, entrepreneurship, design thinking, venture creation, or business strategy.
Directly relevant, current and active industry professional experience in Business or closely related field.

About the Real Estate Program
The Real Estate program at USD was established in the early 1990s and has since evolved into a dynamic and highly regarded program. We offer a Master of Science in Real Estate (MSRE) degree, along with both a major and a minor in real estate at the undergraduate level. Our program currently enrolls approximately 60 graduate students and over 400 undergraduate students (including majors and minors). Real Estate is the third most popular major at USD.
The program is supported by the Burham-Moores Center for Real Estate (BMC), a center of excellence fully funded by the real estate industry. The mission of the BMC is “to help recruit, educate and mentor a diverse group of real estate students with the goal of facilitating their career pursuits in a socially responsible manner and with a global perspective and in collaboration with the real estate industry.” This mission is achieved through the support of outstanding faculty and professional staff, dedicated career services, scholarship offerings, active industry involvement and outreach, and relevant and applied research. The University of San Diego's Knauss School of Business seeks a tenure-track faculty member at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor to join its dynamic and growing Real Estate program. We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in commercial real estate, including areas such as finance and investment, market analysis, asset management, development, capital markets, and sustainability.
The ideal candidate will contribute to the school's mission by delivering high-quality instruction at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, mentoring students, and engaging in impactful research that enhances the real estate discipline. Prior experience in teaching graduate-level courses and collaborating with the real estate industry is preferred. As part of San Diego State University's (SDSU) Strategic Plan and the goal of leveraging our university's unique identity, SDSU aims to hire an Associate/Full Professor to join a diverse cohort of colleagues from a broad range of disciplines and a variety of academic and research backgrounds addressing borders, broadly defined both geographically and conceptually. The successful candidate must clearly demonstrate how their research, scholarship, or creative activities are collaborative or interdisciplinary and engage with borders as understood in their disciplines. We welcome applications from scholars in any discipline whose work addresses any of a myriad of border issues as understood in their fields and not just limited to nation state borders. Successful applicants will teach interdisciplinary courses, conduct research, and generate publications in their own disciplinary journals as well as engage in public-facing scholarship, which may include other public venues including but not limited to theater, film or other artistic venues. Candidates will be given the opportunity to request their home department and will be expected to teach both lower level and upper level undergraduate courses, and graduate level courses where appropriate, as well as courses they develop within their area of expertise. We seek a scholar who has demonstrated experience with community engagement or is committed to developing community-based projects.
Understanding Public-Facing Scholarship
Public-facing scholarship takes many forms depending on the academic field. Academics share their work outside traditional settings through podcasts, popular books, K-12 curricula, media interviews, educational websites, art, film, and public writing. Professionals who connect academic and practical work also play a role. Other examples include op-eds, public lectures, exhibitions, performances, and social media. Ethical public scholarship focuses on working with community organizations, tribal nations, and other groups as partners, not just as research subjects.
