The Department of Behavioral Health Science and Practice (BHSP), College of Behavioral and Community Sciences (CBCS), University of South Florida (USF) invites applications from qualified candidates to fill one of two 9-month tenure-earning faculty positions, one at the rank of Assistant Professor and one open rank (i.e., Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor). Both are to be located on the USF Tampa campus and are not remote positions. Salary will be commensurate with rank. The successful candidate is expected to have, or to demonstrate the potential for, an independent program of research focused on behavioral health services, with a research focus in one or more of the following areas:
Mental health and substance use service access, utilization, policy, and financing
Implementation science and behavioral health
Technology in behavioral health (e.g., telehealth/eHealth, informatics)
Machine learning, natural language processing, predictive analytics
Integration of behavioral and physical healthcare

Minimum Qualifications:
The successful candidate must hold a doctoral degree (e.g., PhD, EdD, DrPH, DSW) by the time of faculty appointment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong publication record related to the foci of this position, demonstrated success or potential in obtaining external funding related to behavioral health services and policy research, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a record of collaborative work with academic, community, and/or industry partners. Documented evidence of previous and/or current grant activity commensurate with rank is required of those applying for the rank of Associate or Full Professor. Evidence of grant potential is required of applicants for the rank of Assistant Professor. A strong background in research methods and/or statistics is desired, along with experience teaching at undergraduate or graduate levels. The successful candidate is expected to teach and be an active mentor within undergraduate and/or graduate programs.

Summary
The Translational Pathology Senior Faculty Member conducts research that is closely aligned and appointed in a Moffitt Medical Group (MMG) Clinical Department. You would be responsible for creating, delivering, and evaluating engaging courses throughout our HVAC trade curriculum, all while nurturing a positive and inspiring learning environment for our students.

OSHA 10-hour Certification is required.
Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Certification is required.

* Implements programming aimed at preventing further disability, fostering independence, and enhancing quality of life in the least intrusive manner possible.
CRISIS MANAGEMENT
* Facilitates ongoing client education and training related to safe work practices.
* Mediates risk and addresses safety concerns for clients within the environment.
* Assesses the potential for crisis situations and intervenes to de-escalate/defuse situations
* Engages the client and relevant others in the development and documentation of a work related crisis plan.
* Problem solves and provides feedback to involved parties following each crisis situation.
PROGRAM RELATED RESPONSIBILITIES
* Maintains activity program statistics and provides monthly reports.
* Records assessments, activity plans and evaluations appropriately, as per program requirements.
* Ensures a sufficient inventory of supplies are available to meet the activity program requirements by maintaining records of supplies used, and requisitioning for replacements as needed.
* Ensures equipment is used safely, stored appropriately, and maintained in good working order
* In conjunction with manager/supervisor prepares area budget and reports anticipated variances.
* Advises the Program Manager of recommendations for capital budget expenditures.
* Maintains confidentiality in all matters pertaining to patients and their families.
* Prioritizes workload by utilizing sound organizational skills.
* Recognizes legal issues in relation to the treatment of patients, in particular the provision of the Mental Health Act and Protection for Persons in Care Act.
* Assist other Mental Health Programs when necessary to meet clinical and operational needs.
* Other duties as assigned.
